Aung San Suu Kyi ('The Lady')
Luc Besson says:
It’s a living character and the biggest difficulty is to make a film about someone who is alive that you can’t meet. At all. And that’s a big, big challenge. It’s very difficult to describe… She is more human than a woman. She’s almost a feminine Gandhi. The story is not so much about man and woman, it’s really about love and freedom and how you fight for freedom. So it’s not very man and woman orientated.
