'Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom' (1976)
Based on the Marquis De Sade’s novel, ‘Salo’ concerns four Facist rulers who abduct a group of teenagers and subject them to sexual and mental torture involving branding, mutilation and human feces.

It was banned in the UK until 2000 and New Zealand until 2001. Australia banned the movie until 1993, but then banned it again in 1998. Finally, they unbanned the film for DVD/Blu-ray release in 2010. It was also reportedly banned in Finland, West Germany and Norway.
