A metropolitan woman on a secluded vacation in a cabin, is violently gang-raped by backwoods hillbillies. She gains her revenge by murdering each man one-by-one with methods ranging from hanging to castration to disembowelment.

The film was banned in the UK from 1984 to 2001 when a heavily-edited version was made available. Australia blocked screenings from 1997 to 2004. Canada did not permit public viewings until 1998, when some provinces lifted the ban. Ireland began to ban the film in 2002. It was also not seen in Norway, Iceland, West Germany, China, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines or Thailand.
