'Coming Home'

Antiwar activist Jane Fonda commissioned and starred in this pro-veteran drama about a woman who has an affair with a paraplegic veteran (Jon Voight, playing a characer modeled after Ron 'Born on the Fourth of July' Kovic) while her own husband (Bruce Dern) is still away fighting in Vietnam. Fonda and Voight won Oscars for their performances (which included a famously frank love scene) in this drama that's ultimately more about the wounds that heal than those that don't.
