Films: 'Shame,' 'Drive'

Mulligan gets not one but two single-word-titled, could-be-a-verb-or-a-noun flicks this fall. Lucky girl. In 'Shame,' Mulligan and Michael Fassbender play self-destructive siblings in up-and-coming director Steve McQueen's NC-17-rated sex-compulsion drama. Well, that just got interesting, didn't it?

Mulligan is the third 'Drive' star pulling double duty at TIFF, and we've already talked at length about that movie, so let's just have a think on why she's slumped up against the wall in that pic. Why so forlorn-looking, Carey? Is your water bottle empty?
