'Tales From the Crypt' (1972)

Five stories from EC comic books are introduced by the Crypt Keeper (Ralph Richardson, no less!). "All Through the Night" takes place on Christmas Eve; Joan Collins murders her errant hubby and has to contend with an escaped lunatic who dresses like Santa Claus. This one stands in for an entire Killer Santa subgenre, as exemplified by such pop classics as 'You Better Watch Out!' (1980) and the five-film series 'Silent Night Deadly Night' (1984-91).
