SURPRISE: Ryan Gosling

It's fitting that in the Year of the Gos, Ryan Gosling earned a Johnny Depp-like two Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor and ... Best Actor. The surprise? That he wasn't lauded for his work in 'Drive,' the most Gosling-y of all his 2011 work. No knocking Gosling's hilarious turn in 'Crazy Stupid Love' (a deserved Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy nomination), but 'Ides of March' over 'Drive' in in the drama category? That calls for a silent glare and/or some metaphorical head-stomping.
