SURPRISE: Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet

Leave it to the totally-on-the-level members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to nominate both Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet for 'Carnage' -- despite the fact that Sony Pictures Classic plans on running them both, along with Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly, in the Supporting Actor categories for Oscar. Never mind that neither Foster nor Winslet were good enough to warrant selection here; when it comes to the Globes, star power wins out over performance power. Hey, at least Cameron Diaz didn't make the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy list too. ('Bad Teacher,' worse movie.)
