6. Meryl Streep, 'The Iron Lady'
TWC
It should be a required prerequisite to watch 'J. Edgar' before watching 'The Iron Lady,' in an effort to really illustrate how the performance of a political figure should not be done, as opposed to the way it should be done. While watching 'J. Edgar,' a viewer is led to think, Leonardo DiCaprio is doing a decent impression of Hoover, I suppose. In 'The Iron Lady,' it's uncanny how Meryl Streep just becomes Margaret Thatcher. The greatest living actress doesn't disappoint. -- Mike Ryan
