4. Paul Giamatti in 'Fred Claus' (2007)

St. Nicholas becomes a typical Giamatti neurotic nebbish, though it's refreshing to see a Nick who's so down-to-earth. His performance is a sly comic gem in a movie that's otherwise loud and obnoxious.
