(THE BEST) 1. Edmund Gwenn in 'Miracle on 34th Street' (1947)
What makes this Kris the kream of the Kringle krop? Well, he's kindly, practical, jolly, twinkly-eyed, speaks every language, loves kids, and has real whiskers. And after 64 years, he's delighted generations of children and parents. Plus, he managed to convince the U.S. Postal Service, a New York City judge, skeptical know-it-all tyke Natalie Wood, and Oscar voters that he's the real deal. That's good enough for us.
