The 'Catfish' directors' eerie, "bloody Mary" infused-take on 'Paranormal Activity 3'

The buzzed-about directors of 'Catfish' -- that documentary that pretty much nailed how creepy and unnerving media can be -- turn their stylish eye on the 'Paranormal Activity' series. And just when it seemed like the concept ran out of steam, they went retro with a VHS-infused, 80s tale of creepy kids, straight out of 'Poltergeist.' This movie is a make-or-break moment for the movie and the filmmakers; if they can do something truly creative with the format, horror cinema may get a pulsing new jolt. (Oct. 21) -- EL
