Back to 2012 Movie Preview: Family Movies
'Wreck-It-Ralph'
Release Date: Nov. 12, 2012
Disney is taking a break from the fairy tales and tackling a very modern form of entertainment: video games. John C. Reilly voices the titular character, a 'Donkey Kong'-style bad guy from 1980s arcades who is trying to find a video game world that will treat him like a hero. The film looks to do for video games what 'Toy Story' did for action figures; we're excited to see what the voice cast (including Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch) does with the idea. Not to mention, the film is rumored to be loaded with cameos from Pac-Man to 'Mortal Kombat.' Young parents who grew up with Nintendo will be eager to share the 8-bit memories with their kids.
