6. Laika in 'Le Havre'
Talk about screen presence: Laika, the dog -- who plays an orphan's only friend in this heartwarming indie -- won a "Special Jury Prize" at this year's Cannes Film Fest (although, it must be admitted, Uggie was awarded the top prize of Palm Dog.) In real life, Laika belongs to Aki Kaurismäki, the film's quirky director.
