Whatever happened to David, Star and the Frog brothers? It's been 21 years since Kiefer Sutherland was a creepy vamp leading his 'Lost Boys' in sunny California, Jason Patric was a promising up-and-comer (and Kiefer's BFF -- wow, neither of those panned out) ... and perhaps most momentously, since Corey Feldman and Corey Haim combined their awesomeness to become the even awesomer "two Coreys."
(That's right, 'Lost Boys' is responsible for that powerful pairing. Uh, thanks.)
We catch up with the cast on this auspicious anniversary (and the straight-to-dvd release of a sequel, 'Lost Boys: The Tribe').
The Lost Boys': Where Are They Now?
It's been 21 years since Kiefer Sutherland was a creepy vamp leading his 'Lost Boys,' Jason Patric was a promising up-and-comer (and Kiefer's BFF -- wow, things change) ... and perhaps most momentously, since Coreys Feldman and Haim combined their awesomeness to become the "two Coreys." (That's right, 'Lost Boys' is responsible for that powerful pairing. Uh, thanks.)

Corey Feldman
Then: He was already a regular in teen classics ('Gremlins,' 'The Goonies,' 'Stand by Me') before landing the role of Edgar Frog, a cocky comic book store clerk. His real passion: fighting for "truth, justice and the American way"; in other words, slaying vampires. Feldman's comically deep voice and witty one-liners (not to mention his astounding '80s wardrobe) add much of the humor to this horror flick.

Corey Feldman
Now: The more stable half of 'The Two Coreys' released his third album ('Former Child Actor') in 2002, got married on 'The Surreal Life,' appeared in 'Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star' and used to frequent 'Howard Stern.' Talk about milking your has-been status for all it's worth. But Feldman's not done hunting ghouls; he reprises his role of Edgar in this year's straight-to-DVD (shocker) 'Lost Boys: The Tribe.'

Corey Haim
Then: The teen heartthrob had already experienced major success on the Canadian TV series 'The Edison Twins' and in the films 'Firstborn,' 'Silver Bullet' and 'Lucas' before appearing in 'The Lost Boys' as Sam Emerson, the conflicted brother of a budding vampire. The role led to his famous on- and off-screen relationship with Corey Feldman. Unfortunately, it also prompted his spiral into drug abuse.

Corey Haim
Now: If you're an avid watcher of straight-to-video movies, chances are you've seen a lot of Haim. In classic child star fashion, he virtually disappeared from the scene in the '90s, and in 1997 he filed for bankruptcy. He hopes his reality show with Feldman, 'The Two Coreys,' and roles in 'Lost Boys: The Tribe' and 'Crank 2' will be a springboard for a career comeback. Oookay, good luck with that.

Kiefer Sutherland
Then: In between roles in 'Stand by Me' and 'Young Guns,' Kiefer played David, the baddest of vampires who leads his posse of lost boys in stalking the skies of Santa Carla, looking for innocent humans to feed on. Although viewers are led to believe he's killed at the end of the film, it's never explicitly indicated; the intention was to bring him back for a sequel, 'The Lost Girls,' that was never made. Sigh.

Kiefer Sutherland
Now: Jack Bauer's ... er ... Kiefer's 48-day stint in jail for a 2007 DUI hasn't affected his ability to save the world in a time crunch. The star of TV's still-running '24' channeled this character in 'The Sentinel,' and plans to bring him to the big screen (will they call it '2'?). His next films include this year's 'Mirrors' where he plays ... wait for it ... an ex-cop, and 2009's animated comedy 'Monsters vs. Aliens.'

Jason Patric
Then: One year after his big-screen debut in 'Solarbabies' alongside fellow 'Lost' star Jami Gertz, Patric played Michael Emerson, the new recruit in the gang of ghastly ghouls who won the heart of David's (Sutherland) girl Star (played by Gertz). Years later, he would run off with then best friend Kiefer's ex-fiancé, Julia Roberts. Moral of the story: Jason Patric likes Kiefer Sutherland's girls.

Jason Patric
Now: 'Speed 2' (1997) wasn't his big break, and Patric's (son of playwright Jason Miller and grandson of actor Jackie Gleason) had an uneven career -- with flops ('The Alamo'), critical faves ('In the Valley of Elah') and personal struggles (a drunken altercation with police in '04). He'll next be in 'Downloading Nancy' and is Cameron Diaz's hubby and Abigail Breslin's dad in 'My Sister's Keeper' ('09).

Jami Gertz
Then: She snagged roles in some classic '80s films, including 'Endless Love,' 'Sixteen Candles,' 'Quicksilver' and 'Less Than Zero.' But she is perhaps best known for her turn in 'The Lost Boys' as the adorably shy burgeoning vampire named Star who lures Michael into the world of bloodsucking outcasts. If Star bit one person's neck, she'd become a full-fledged vampire. We could think of worse ways to go.
