'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' -- produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the man responsible for the 'Beverly Hills Cop' and 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' franchises, among many other films and TV series -- is exactly the type of big summer blockbuster you'd expect. Full of magic, good vs. evil, romance, special effects and sly humor, it is a popcorn bonanza reteaming Bruckheimer and his 'National Treasure' series leading man Nicolas Cage.

In 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice,' Cage, as the wizard Balthazar, is joined by an illustrious cast, highlighted by Alfred Molina as his magical nemesis, Horvath, and Monica Bellucci as Veronica, the woman who creates the rift between the former best friends. But Cage's main foil in the film is rising star Jay Baruchel ('How to Train Your Dragon,' 'Tropic Thunder,') as Dave, the apprentice Balthazar has been searching for over many centuries.

In our exclusive video interview, Carell, who plays the film's main character, Gru, gave Moviefone the scoop on what it was like to play a villain on the big screen, and what important item he might steal, if given the chance. (Hint: He's set the bar very, very high for himself.)

Ludacris Proud of 'Crash' Co-Star Sandra Bullock's Ludicrous Success in 2009Sandra Bullock has been named the top box office star of 2009 with two monster hits, 'The Proposal' and 'The Blind Side,' she's got two Golden Globe nods, is an odds-on favorite to at least be nominated for her first Oscar for 'The Blind Side,' and at 45 is once again riding high as America's sweetheart.

Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, who co-starred with Bullock in the Oscar-winning Best Picture 'Crash,' says it couldn't have happened to a nicer person. "When I got a chance to really meet her and just kind of kick it with her on set when we were doing 'Crash' I just realized how down to Earth she was and how extremely great of a personality she has," he tells Moviefone.
