'Hunger Games' Protest: Musicians' Union Targets Film

It looks like not everyone is excited about 'The Hunger Games.' The American Federation of Musicians plans to protest 'Hunger Games' studio Lionsgate on Thursday, because the union is up in arms over the studio not using AFM musicians to score the film, which is now in post-production.

Jessica Chastain to Make Broadway Debut in 'The Heiress'

Jessica Chastain -- the "It" actress who's likely to get an Oscar nomination for one of her umpteen-diddly movies of 2011, including 'The Help' and 'The Tree of Life' -- is now prepping to conquer Broadway. She'll make her Broadway debut this fall in 'The Heiress.' It's a role that won an Oscar for Olivia de Havilland back in 1950. Since she'll be playing an unattractive 19th-century heiress, she'll likely be "uglified" with heavy eyebrows, as was de Havilland.

In Honor of the Year of the Dragon: Favorite Movie Dragons

Even if 2012 weren't officially the Year of the Dragon (according to the Chinese zodiac), dragons would declare it their year anyway. Audiences are eating up 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,' fairy tale dragons rule on TV's 'Once Upon a Time' and 'A Game of Thrones' and we're all waiting for our first glimpse of Smaug in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' this Christmas. Seems as good a time as any to revisit our favorite fire-breathers, from Elliott to Toothless to several unnamed but still magnificent (and maleficent) beasts.

Matt Damon Pulls Out of Directorial Debut, May Still Star: Report

"Script issues" are supposedly to blame for Matt Damon's decision not to direct his first film, although he's reportedly still game to star in the film, according to Vulture. Michael Caine is an integral part of Christopher Nolan's Batman films as fatherly butler Alfred, but the Oscar-winning actor says -- gasp! -- that those movies aren't really all that interesting to make. On a set visit to his new film, 'Mr. Morgan's Last Love,' Caine told THR, "Batman has very good actors in it, but it's all about the special effects. A film like this is about the people. It's more interesting as an actor."

Benedict Cumberbatch: I Get Typecast as 'Posh' Characters

Benedict Cumberbatch -- you know, that tall, angular fellow in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,' 'War Horse' and the BBC's Sherlock Holmes -- says he often gets typecast as rich and upper-class. Cumberbatch told Radio Times, "Being a posh actor in England, you can't escape class-typing, from whatever side you look at it. I realized quite early on that, although I wasn't trying to make a career specialty of it, I was playing slightly asexual, sociopathic intellectuals." That must be why, as his 'Sherlock' co-star Martin Freeman explains, his nickname is "Cumberlord."

'Iron Man 3' Rumor: Robert Downey Jr. Getting Lifts?

The Iron Man suit might be getting an upgrade: Heels! According to Us Weekly (via the New York Post), Robert Downey Jr. is adding lifts for 'Iron Man 3.' "They're working on a special pair just for him," a source told the celeb magazine, and that the lifts would be concealed in boots. Why in the next Iron Man movie and not 'The Avengers?' At 5'8", the actor certainly isn't the tallest in the 'Avengers' cast. That would be mighty Thor, Chris Hemsworth, at 6'3", as we've seen in shots of the actors on the set. At least Downey appears to be taller than Mark Ruffalo, who is also reportedly 5'8".
