Tarantino: 'Violence Is So Good' In Cinema

Quentin TarantinoQuentin Tarantino, lover of blood and gore, has praised violence in cinema and admitted he will not give up making brutal films any time soon.

His movies, including Reservoir dogs, Pulp Fiction, the Kill Bill films and Inglourious Basterds, are not for the faint-hearted and Tarantino intends to keep it that way.

Speaking at a Bafta event this week the US Director said: "violence is so good" in cinema.

Sam Mendes to Direct New Bond Movie?

Sam MendesHe may not have an action film bone in his body but Sam Mendes has been given the chance to direct the next Bond film. And the film's production has been speeded up to start as early as June.

We were worried after the producers of the James Bond franchise announced they had put the next instalment on hold until the MGM studio sale is complete but now things seem right back on track.

Mendes directed American Beauty and Away We Go and although the closest he's come to an action film was the war film Jarhead, which didn't actually involve much war, he has been hailed as versatile enough to take on the legendary spy movie.

AdventurelandAn online advert for Disney's Adventureland movie has been banned because it showed a woman with the caption 'lift my shirt to see more' over her breasts.

The woman in question was wearing a white T-shirt and, if the viewers so wished, they could click on her chest to attempt to reveal her naked bosom.

We wonder which creative genius came up with this classy concept.
