Iconic actress Marilyn Monroe will have the final years of her life played out on screen by Angelina Jolie in The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe.
Tom Cruise stars as renegade spy, Roy Miller, who bumps into - and falls in love with - the slightly dappy girl-next-door, June Havens (Cameron Diaz). There's ditched planes, car chases, shoot-outs, bombing raids, train fights and general global mayhem before she to realises he may be the man of her dreams. The pair hop explosively from Boston to The Bronx, and the Azores to an Alpine express, to find a missing scientist, pursued by the disposable ranks of the US secret service (headed by Peter Sarsgaard).
Gainsbourg - in cinemas from today - is an artistic take on the life of musician, artist, writer and serial seducer, Serge Gainsbourg. Born as Lucien Ginsburg to Russian-Jewish parents in Paris in the 1920s, we see the young Gainsbourg shocked by an antisemitic poster, the cartoon face of which then haunts him for the rest of his life turning into his ugly alter-ego.
