Angelina JolieIconic actress Marilyn Monroe will have the final years of her life played out on screen by Angelina Jolie in The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe.

Jolie has scooped the much coveted role to play the screen siren, alongside George Clooney as Frank Sinatra.

Author Andrew O'Hagan told the Times the film version of his novel The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe will start production soon.

There's ditched planes, car chases, shoot-outs, bombing raids, train fights and general global mayhem before she to realises he may be the man of her dreams. The pair hop explosively from Boston to The Bronx, and the Azores to an Alpine express, to find a missing scientist, pursued by the disposable ranks of the US secret service (headed by Peter Sarsgaard).

Gainsbourg Movie Review: We Give Our Verdict

GainsbourgGainsbourg - in cinemas from today - is an artistic take on the life of musician, artist, writer and serial seducer, Serge Gainsbourg. Born as Lucien Ginsburg to Russian-Jewish parents in Paris in the 1920s, we see the young Gainsbourg shocked by an antisemitic poster, the cartoon face of which then haunts him for the rest of his life turning into his ugly alter-ego.

Tailed by the hallucinatory "ugly mug", the film takes us through Gainsbourg's highs and lows. His talent and charisma entrance beautiful women, including Juliette Gréco (Anna Mouglalis). Later in his career, Gainsbourg is to become the lover of no less than Brigitte Bardot (Laetitia Casta), with whom he originally intended to record hit song Je T'Aime.

Together they make up two of the most lusted after stars in Hollywood and now they've teamed up in Disney's latest action adventure - Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

We met up with Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays a muscley young prince called Dastan, and Gemma Arterton, who plays a mysterious princess named Tiana, at London's glamorous Dorchester hotel intrigued to know if they really are that good looking in real life.
