Ahaaa! Alan Partridge: The Movie is Revealed

Aha! Alan PatridgeNote to Lynne, clear my diary from November next year because I'm shooting a film - cashback! After a good four years of waiting, Empire have broken the news the world of light entertainment has been waiting for, The Alan Partridge Movie is on the verge of being filmed.

Since his divorce from Carol (who left him for a fitness instructor), Alan's career has been pretty much on a downward spiral, taking in a residence in the Linton travel tavern, helming the 4am Up With a Partridge slot on Radio Norwich, and seeing his autobiography being pulped after four weeks, having failed to beat crime-thriller Bad Slags to the bestseller charts.

Needless to say, Alan has had the last laugh as his real-life alter-ego, Steve Coogan exclusively revealed to Empire: "We're doing a deal right now - I can't say who with - and there'll probably be an official announcement in the next couple of months."

Nicolas Cage: An Apology

On 27th November 2009, AOL published an article on moviefone.co.uk referring to Nicolas Cage's recent attendance at the ceremony to turn on the Christmas Lights in Bath. The article referred to a payment to Mr Cage for his participation. It has been brought to our attention that this is not correct, and Mr Cage did not and has not received any payments for participating in this event. We would therefore like to apologise to Nicolas Cage and Bath City Council for any offence that this statement may have caused.

Avatar Trailer Released - Sci-Fi Geeks Of The World Rejoice

We've been waiting ages for this (since the Titanic sank at least) but now we can all have our first look at James Cameron's long awaited science fiction epic. Well, in full-length trailer form at least.

It was 15 years ago when Cameron first had the idea of this tale of an asymmetric future war - all he needed then was for technology to catch up with what was in his head. The result is a 3D effect like no other (apparently) using very advanced motion capture which Cameron likes to call 'emotion capture'.
