Acclaimed Actress Lynn Redgrave Dies at 67

Lynn Redgrave, an introspective and independent player in her family's acting dynasty who became a 1960s sensation as the freethinking title character of "Georgy Girl" and later dramatized her troubled past in such one-woman stage performances as 'Shakespeare for My Father' and 'Nightingale,' has died. She was 67.

Her publicist Rick Miramontez, speaking on behalf of her children, said Redgrave died Sunday night at her Manhattan apartment. In 2003, Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer.

Former Teen Star Corey Haim Dead of Apparent Drug Overdose

Corey HaimCorey Haim, the '80s actor who was once fondly known as "the other Corey," has died of an apparent drug overdose at 38. He was found Wednesday morning at his home in Oakwood, Calif.; his mother was present when first responders arrived. Haim was pronounced dead at 2:15AM at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.

The former teen idol was known for his roles in 1980s classics 'The Lost Boys,' 'Lucas' and 'License to Drive,' and for his recent reality TV comeback, 'The Two Coreys,' in which he starred with Corey Feldman.

Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins Split

Tim Robbins and Susan SarandonTim Robbins and Susan Sarandon -- one of Hollywood's most powerful and recognized couples -- have split. Sarandon's rep tells PEOPLE (via PopEater) that the pair broke up long before the holidays.

"Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer," her rep Teal Cannaday tells PEOPLE in a statement. "No further comments will be made."

The couple met during the filming of the 1988 baseball classic 'Bull Durham.' Sarandon also appeared in Robbins' 'Cradle Will Rock' in 1999.

2010 Golden Globe Nominations Are Out: Action and 'Up in the Air' Soar

The Golden Globes nominations are out and loud action films are all over the Best Drama category, with 'Inglourious Basterds,' 'The Hurt Locker' and 'Avatar' in the mix, while on the TV side, newcomer 'Glee' shined alongside familiar faces '30 Rock' and 'Mad Men.' The biggest nominee of the year -- film wise -- is actually the recession-era tale 'Up in the Air,' which snagged six nominations, among them best drama and acting honors for George Clooney, Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick.
