Scenes We Love: 'Can't Hardly Wait'

Today is a special someone's birthday -- Special K's birthday, to be exact. Back when he was just 24 years old, we saw Seth Green take being a wigger to the extreme when he played Kenny Fischer in 'Can't Hardly Wait.' With his trusty lackeys by his side, Kenny, as his alter ego Special K, barges into a graduation party with one thing in mind: sex. Whether you're ridiculously stoned or allergic to dancing, you're on Kenny's radar.

In honor of Green's 37th birthday, we're dedicating this week's Scenes We Love to one of our favorite Seth Green characters, that very Kenny Fischer. Even better? The scene we're going with from 'Can't Hardly Wait' is the epitome of typical Special K behavior. After his sexual ray of light finally arrives in the form of a party-goer who just split from her boyfriend, Kenny decides he must dip into his "love kit" to ensure he's fully prepared. He heads to the bathroom and, to the tune of RUN-DMC's "It's Tricky," preps for the magical night he's been dreaming of.

Cinematical Seven: Friendly Characters You Can't Trust

It's one thing to walk into a 'Halloween' or 'Friday the 13th' movie and know what's coming your way. The guys in the masks carrying big blades are clearly the ones you should be running from. But what happens when someone doesn't have "killer written all over their forehead?" See, those are the ones that you have to watch out for, the ones with the ability to pose as nice, normal people, but then do a complete 180 once they've worked their way into your home and life.

The premise of the upcoming film 'The Roommate' is really quite clever. A college campus is an opportune location for a silent threat to take advantage of a new student's vulnerability. In honor of Rebecca (Leighton Meester) preying on her random roommate, Sara (Minka Kelly), in theaters this weekend, we're taking a look at some of the other deadly characters who used the sneak attack approach to get the one up on their victims.

They're lethal, murderous and at time psychopathic, but when you first meet these folks, they're as harmless and friendly as they come.

George Lucas Clarifies His 2012 Prediction; Universe Breathes Sigh of Relief

Should the world come to an end in 2012 and should George Lucas really have his own spaceship to flee Armageddon, Seth Rogen certainly won't be heading out into outer space with him. In case you missed our Movie News Quick Hits, here's the deal. The Telegraph reported that Rogen told the Toronto Sun that while meeting with Lucas and Steven Spielberg, "George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is going to end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it."

Of course, Rogen did a double take, but rather than realize Lucas was getting a laugh at his expense, he realized Lucas was dead serious. In true Rogen fashion, he joked with Lucas and asked him if he could snag a seat on his spaceship. Rogen continued, "He claimed he didn't have a spaceship, but there's no doubt there's a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go ... It's going to be him and Steven Spielberg and I'll be blown up like the rest of us."

New 'Scream 4' Trailer: Welcome Back, Ghostface

'Scream' fans rejoice! A new trailer has arrived and not only is it far meatier than the last, but it's pretty damn good, too. Back in October we got our first glimpse at Wes Craven's latest in a teaser trailer that premiered at the Scream Awards. No, it wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't good enough to really get you pumped for the franchise's fourth installment. Well, the latest trailer clocks in at a whopping two minutes, thirty seconds and is packed with far more than some cheesy fades and text.

This one will give any longtime franchise fan the chills right from the start when Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' "Red Right Hand" (a song featured in the first film) kicks in directly after hearing the killer whisper that all too familiar question, "What's your favorite scary movie?" From there, it's really just 'Scream 2.0,' and it works. We've got a new group of kids in a similar situation, but this time around they come loaded with advanced technology and an upgraded set of rules for surviving a horror movie.

Watch it below.

Hailee Steinfeld's Next Film -- Could It Be 'The Hunger Games'?

Hailee Steinfeld is no longer just the girl from the K-Mart Blingitude commercial or the young actress from a handful of short films for that matter; she's a critically acclaimed actress and quite possibly even an Oscar contender for Best Supporting Actress (she already won Best Young Actress at the Critic's Choice Awards). Of course it's a special thing to be cast in a Coen brothers movie, but in Steinfeld's case, being cast as Mattie Ross in 'True Grit' is life changing.

It should come as no surprise that with this particularly big break will come an assortment of film offers – and rumors of offers, too. Lately, we've been hearing quite a lot about Steinfeld potentially portraying Katniss Everdeen in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' wildly popular book, 'The Hunger Games.' From the start, I've championed Chloe Moretz for the part not only because she's a spectacular actress, but also because there was really nobody else who could handle the part. Well, after catching 'True Grit,' my ideal casting for the lead role in this potential blockbuster franchise changed and Ms. Moretz has slipped to option #2.

Should 'The Hunger Games' Be PG-13 Or R? Director Gary Ross Weighs In

Back in October it was revealed that 'The Hunger Games' film adaptation was going to be stamped not with an R, but a PG-13 rating -- and outrage ensued. Yes, Suzanne Collins' entire series is for young adults, but for anyone who's read the books – young or old – you know that the kids of Panem don't play nice; they're fighting for their lives.

After posting the news here on Cinematical, we got tons of angry responses, one of which going as far as to say, "This book is not appropriate for twelve year olds, but unfortunately, too many parents lack the spine to say so," and another posting, "This book is nothing without its brutality. Unless the slaughter of those ten innocent kids is shown in the movie, the audience won't understand why a revolution is needed." However, we also got quite a few readers defending the PG-13 ruling: "The books are already PG-13. They're totally innocuous and lacking in much action and certainly any adult themes. The books seem tailored to a PG-13." Another pointed out, "I grew up on G movies that killed more horribly."

'Expendables' Pirates Next Target of Bit-Torrent Lawsuits

Tons of people download films illegally; there's no way the copyright police will track you down individually, right? Well, maybe, but if you're guilty of snagging a copy of one of Nu Image Films' 179 titles, specifically 'The Expendables,' the United States Copyright Group is coming for you, specifically.

Last year, the USCG joined forces with Achte/Neunte to nail 4,500 people for downloading films including 'The Hurt Locker' and 'Far Cry.' In November, a district court judge cut that defendant list down to just 140 based on jurisdiction rules. Despite some criticism over the loss of defendants, the USCG is in pursuit of that hefty number yet again and this time around is employing Nu Image and its much larger repertoire to bring a significantly higher number of people to justice.

According to THR, the USCG process will be quite similar to the 'Hurt Locker' and 'Far Cry' case. "USCG joins multiple individual defendants in a single lawsuit and subpoenas ISPs to identify its customers flagged for sharing copyrighted content." Those who are identified will get a letter demanding that they settle unless the outfit opts to conduct follow-up litigation.
