When Michael Cera throws a party, a lot of cool Hollywood wants to show up and see what's going on -- even when the People's Choice Awards have Ashton Kutcher and Carrie Underwood across town.

John C. Reilly, 'The Hangover' star Ed Helms, Jesse Metcalfe and Bob Saget came out Wednesday in Hollywood to support Cera at the L.A. premiere of his new comedy 'Youth in Revolt.'

'Youth in Revolt' Movie Reviews

'Youth in Revolt' could be the best reviewed comedy released in January in years.

Miguel Arteta's ('The Good Girl') comedy, about a mild-mannered 16-year-old (Michael Cera) who embraces his inner bad boy to seduce a local love interest (Portia Doubleday), will probably not win any awards, but is a modest success, building on the marketable likability of Cera ('Superbad,' 'Juno').

To its downside, critics are saying 'Youth in Revolt' is a trifle, not adding up to much. Still, it's tasty.

A well-rounded supporting cast (including Fred Willard on mushrooms and Justin Long rocking ugly hair) is well-received and funny. See what the critics are saying after the jump.

Justin Long Hopes Nude Scene Is Left Out of 'Going the Distance'

Is there any truth to reports of a Justin Long nude scene in his upcoming romantic comedy with on-and-off girlfriend Drew Barrymore?

Moviefone can confirm that indeed there is. But if Long has anything to say about it, you won't be seeing his unmentionables ... unless, of course, seeing his privates makes you laugh.

"I don't know if they are going to use [the nude scene] in the [final] cut," Long told Moviefone at Wednesday's premiere of his comedy 'Youth in Revolt.' "It remains to be seen. And I honestly don't [know]."

Kevin Smith vs. Neil Patrick Harris: The First Celeb Feud of 2010

Silent Bob strikes back – or at least when it comes to a war of words with the actor formerly known as Doogie Howser, M.D.

A Twitter dust-up Monday between rom-com director Kevin Smith and 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris was scuttled when the TV star offered reconciliation over a two-year-old interview in which Harris criticized Smith's longtime friend and 'Clerks' co-star, Jason Mewes.

Michael Cera on Rebelling in 'Youth in Revolt' 'and That Long-Awaited 'Arrested Development' Movie

Forget that undeniably lovable -- but undeniably similar -- Michael Cera we saw in fan favorites like 'Superbad,' 'Juno' and 'Arrested Development.' We're about to see an entirely new Michael Cera in January's 'Youth in Revolt.'

In 'Youth in Revolt,' the quivery voiced, fresh-faced Cera makes pointed sexual references, wears blue eye contacts and sunglasses, and always smokes a cigarette. Of course, this is his character's fictional alter-ego, Francois Dillinger, a Frenchman in tight clothes and with a towering libido. (Cera also plays Nick Twisp, the typical lovestruck namby-mamby we know and love, who falls for Portia Doubleday and is committed to winning her over by showing his rebellious side.)
