Brooke Shields Cozies Up to Skunks and Mosquitoes in 'Furry Vengeance'

Known for decades as the little girl who started her modeling career at 5 days old, Brooke Shields is a iconic symbol of precocious innocence. She has taken on a variety of roles, from 'Friends' to 'Suddenly Susan' and even a few episodes as Miley Cyrus' mom on 'Hannah Montana,' and is now starring as a cool mom in the new family comedy 'Furry Vengeance.'

Shields is also a working mom in real life -- she has two kids with TV writer Chris Henchy. She has been laying low since last starring regularly on NBC's 'Lipstick Jungle' in 2008-09, save an appearance on Patricia Heaton's 'The Middle and at last summer's Michael Jackson memorial, where she eulogized her childhood friend.

Shields, who plays a teacher and Brendan Fraser's wife Tammy in the April 30 release, spoke with Moviefone recently about talking lionesses, making friends with a skunk and getting her comic timing just right on her new movie.

'Green Zone' Movie Reviews

For a movie that received a ton of pre-release attention for a possible "anti-American" political slant, 'Green Zone' is being called just a pulpy, serviceable action thriller that will be here today, gone tomorrow.

Because the film was shot two years ago, 'Green Zone' seems outdated thematically. The consensus of reviewers is that the Matt Damon-starring movie is lacking in new ideas and sublime sophistication, without the crackle of director Paul Greengrass's 'Bourne' movies, from which he has assembled much of his creative team. You know what that means: shaky cameras, not as much payoff.

Read what the reviewers have to say.

CBS Films Makes Its Debut With 'Extraordinary Measures'

Movie-making can be an unpredictable investment.

Ask the investors of 'Nine,' the $80 million costume extravaganza that has made about $17 million since its Dec. 18 release. Or the moneybags behind 'The Blind Side,' a modestly budgeted character-driven family drama that has returned 10 times its original buy-in.

Seems weird in these cash-strapped times, when DVD's are increasingly irrelevant, for CBS to start a new (or reborn) film production company, CBS Films, making its debut with Jan. 22's 'Extraordinary Measures,' a heart-tugging drama about medicine starring Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell.

'The Blind Side''s Quinton Aaron Cried After Awards Nominations

He's known as Big Mike in the holiday season's surprise smash hit 'The Blind Side,' but when Quinton Aaron got the news that his film had been nominated for a Golden Globe, and that he is a NAACP Image Award acting nominee, he turned into a big softy.

"Tears started running down my eyes when I found out I got the nomination," Aaron told Moviefone at Monday's premiere of 'The Book of Eli' in L.A.

Jackie Chan on 'The Karate Kid': "Totally Different" With "Heavy Drama"

Recreating the original Mr. Miyagi isn't as easy as "wax on, wax off." Just ask Jackie Chan, who will take on the iconic character in June's 'The Karate Kid,' a modern-day remake of the 1984 classic that starred Pat Morita as a gruff but kindhearted sensei and Ralph "Danielson" Macchio as his eager pupil.

Though Chan's character is named Mr. Han and not Mr. Miyagi, there is no doubt who Chan will be channeling on the screen -- and he promises the performance will show audiences his little-seen dramatic side. "Me, [I am] never happy-go-lucky the whole movie," Chan told Moviefone at Saturday's Los Angeles premiere of 'The Spy Next Door.'

Ray Liotta Talks 'Goodfellas' Sequel

It's not a happy story, the real-life tale of mobster Henry Hill, whom Ray Liotta immortalized in Martin Scorsese's 'Goodfellas.'

As a result, don't look for Liotta to take another crack at playing Hill, who is still living, in another film.

"I think it's all downhill," Liotta said of Hill at Wednesday's premiere of 'Youth in Revolt' in Hollywood, of Hill. "I heard he just got arrested again last month."

Still, Liotta, tells Moviefone, "I would do [a sequel] if Marty [Scorsese] did."
