Ah yes, at the end of the year it's certainly tempting to look back with fondness at the more memorable movies ('Up' or 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil') of the past 365 days. No one wants to pick the scab of box office disappointments, adventures in stupidity and paeans to the craptastic, do they? Oh, actually, we do. But even if you don't think you like musicals, we challenge you to tell us that not one of these films left you humming as you walked out of the theater (or turned off the DVD player).

Here's our roundup of the movies that put a song (and sometimes dance) in our hearts. Even if that song happened to be 'Sweet Transvestite' from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.'

As we near the end of the '00s (we say "oughts"), we look back at the really bad movies -- the lows of a decade that brought us such big-screen gems as these flicks: a breakdancer wakes up from a coma 20 years later, two African-American men disguise themselves as white girls ... and America's Sweetheart portrays an unstable stalker. And those are just some of the high-concept offerings.

Let's face it, Hollywood actors are a bunch of animals.

Luckily, sometimes they turn out to be the cute and furry sort, which is really better for all involved. The good news is that, thanks to the magic CGI and other special effects, the cuddly sort were all over the cineplex this year, making even the most notoriously difficult critters a director's dream and allowing animals some of the meatiest roles of the year.
