Bryan Singer Returns to 'X-Men' Franchise With 'First Class'

After the success of 'X-Men' and 'X2: X-Men United' -- mega-blockbusters that managed to thrill both audiences and critics alike -- fans of the Marvel franchise were understandably disappointed when Bryan Singer bowed out of 'X-Men: The Last Stand' to direct 'Superman Returns' and was replaced by Brett Ratner. Well, fret no more, for Singer has gone on record saying that he's signed on to return to 'X-Men' territory as director of the origin flick, 'X-Men: First Class.'

Wachowski Brothers Making Futuristic Iraq War Movie?

Syndicated columnist and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington set Hollywood atwitter yesterday when she sent out a Tweet saying she was headed to Chicago "to take part in the Wachowskis' movie on iraq [sic] from the perspective of the future."

Over the course of the day, she sent out several more updates from the film's set, including photos of herself on a green screen set in futuristic wardrobe and makeup, and a shot of herself with the filmmakers Andy and Lana (formerly Larry) Wachowski, taken upon the shoot's "wrap."

Matt Damon Won't Do 'Bourne 4' Without Paul Greengrass

If Universal Pictures can imbue a fourth 'Bourne' movie with as much intrigue as the film's development process, they'll have quite a cliffhanger on their hands.

After news broke last week that 'The Bourne Supremacy' and 'The Bourne Ultimatum' director Paul Greengrass would not be signing on to direct the fourth installment of the 'Bourne' franchise, Universal quickly issued an exit statement from Greengrass insisting that the split was amicable. In it, he states, "My decision to not return a third time as director is simply about feeling the call for a different challenge."

So, is 'Bourne' star Matt Damon "feeling the call for a different challenge" as well?
