Cue the Boyz II Men, 'cause our days with the Wolf Pack are almost over.

First, let's remember the good times with Phil, Stu, Alan, Doug, and all the other miscreants they ran into. This video, narrated by Zach Galifianakis, is like a balm to soothe our wounds. Remember that time with the tiger? How about the smoking monkey? What about when Mr. Chow jumped out of the car trunk naked? Inappropriate baby jokes! Mike Tyson being himself!

Of course, "The Hangover Part III" ups the ante even more -- angry chickens, an exotic animal (this time a giraffe), Tijuana, probably some dead bodies, and lots of jokes about wieners. What more could you ask for?

Put on your headphones if you're at work -- or turn the computer speakers down real low if your mom is home -- and enjoy.

Why 'Man of Steel' Didn't Use 'Superman' in the Title

Even superheroes need a makeover sometimes. It's happened before, with Batman and Iron Man and plenty of other comic book characters; even Superman isn't immune. For the upcoming "Man of Steel," director Zack Snyder and co-writers David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan made sure to distance their movie from previous installments by not putting "Superman" in the title, and giving the movie some technological tweaks and a grittier vibe.

Goyer explained by in an Empire podcast a few weeks ago. "We always knew we would be using the Superman glyph or the shield as we call it. But 'Man Of Steel' was also supposed to represent our take, which was he's a man, but he's not made of flesh and blood, metaphorically he's a man of steel. So that was sort of the whole thing wrapped up in a nutshell."

It doesn't hurt that a 2006 attempt to bring Supes back to the big screen, directed by Bryan Singer and starring Brandon Routh, didn't exactly turn the world on its ear.

Even with a new name, it will be hard for fans to shake the mental image of a lantern-jawed Christopher Reeve as Superman. However, Henry Cavill could do a pretty darned good job of giving us a fresh look at an old friend. And a bad-ass General Zod will be pretty cool, too.

You didn't think Marvel was going to let you off the hook that easily, did you? Nope, the comic book company is already planning Phase Three of its sprawling media empire. Sounds sinister, doesn't it? It's not! We promise.

Phase One began with "Iron Man" and culminated in "The Avengers." Similarly, Phase Two just kicked off with the release of "Iron Man 3" and will end after a total of five movies with 2015's "The Avengers 2." Even though Marvel is still knee-deep in Phase Two, studio prez Kevin Feige gave EW a very early preview of what's coming down the pipeline.

Feige said, "I'd say 99 percent of our time right now is purely spent on Phase Two… It's five colossally giant motion pictures that we have to produce. So that's taking up the time. But within the next year or so we'll start the advanced planning for post-’Avengers 2.’"

The Marvel honcho was fairly forthcoming for details on movies that are still in their nascent stages. We do know that Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" is a sure thing, and "Doctor Strange" is "one of the prime candidates." We all know that "Iron Man 4" would go over like gangbusters, but also that Robert Downey Jr. is still in talks over his part in the future of Tony Stark. "Black Panther" is still just a hope and a dream, though eagle-eyed writers have noted that Marvel might be filming some of "The Avengers 2" in Cape Town, a hint that, followed to conclusion, leads some to believe that BP could be a new recruit. The rest of the Marvel cast of characters -- Daredevil, Ghost Rider, zombies, and so on -- are either very unlikely or still in the wishful thinking stages.

But what about The Hulk, you say? Feige told EW, "Mark [Ruffalo] could stand in his own movie. … We're talking about it. We're excited to sit down and go, 'What is a stand-alone Hulk movie?'"

We've got a few years to find out.

"The Avengers 2" isn't due out until 2015, but we're all eager beavers for as much info as possible. Luckily, writer/director Joss Whedon is happy to oblige.

Whedon was at the ABC Upfronts this week chatting up the new Marvel show "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," when he revealed a few more details regarding the follow-up to 2012's big-budget blockbuster. Earlier, Whedon had let slip some juicy tidbits about "a brother/sister act" that would appear in "The Avengers 2," which fans speculated would be Scarlet Witch and her twin Quicksilver. In an interview with IGN, the director more or less confirmed that assumption.

"You know, they had a rough beginning. They're interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn't necessarily agree with The Avengers. So they're not there to make things easier. I'm not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier."

Another confirmation from Whedon? Tony Stark will (not surprisingly) be back for the sequel as well, even though he destroyed his suits at the end of "Iron Man 3."

"Well, I feel like in 'Iron Man 3,' even though he said, ‘I’ve changed' -- he blew up his remote suits, but I don’t think anybody thinks he doesn’t have one anymore. The question is, if The Avengers are called, does he show up? And the answer is, ‘Yes!’”

How will Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver figure into all of this? Guess we'll have to wait until the next time Whedon decides to let another tidbit slip. Perhaps on Twitter?

When you're Captain America, filming in the heart of Washington, D.C. is no big thing. Not everyone can pull it off (or get permits), but Marvel and Disney sure can.

Much to the delight of bystanders, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, and Scarlett Johansson were filming "Captain America: Winter Soldier" at the National Mall and thereabouts. The latter was in costume as the Black Widow, and the other two were just hanging around, being hot, and in the case of Evans, doing push-ups. Were they between scenes or was he in character? We won't know until next April.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" picks up where "The Avengers" left off, with the former 98-pound weakling trying to figure out how to handle the modern world after being frozen since WWII. Steve Rogers's old buddy Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) has returned, but now he's the eponymous Winter Soldier, a super bad guy.

As Mackie described it, "This movie, 'Captain America,' has kind of become 'Avengers 1.5'; if you look at the cast they've put together, if you look at the number of characters that are in this movie. I mean, it's a huge number of superheroes and characters. The basic idea is that you have Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon that get together to take down the Winter Soldier."

Of course, folks are also pretty excited to see Robert Redford as a top S.H.I.E.L.D. official, and the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. With a 2014 release date, we'll have to take these snippets of action where we can get 'em.

Rachel McAdams used to be the cool best friend of women everywhere, and we're hoping that the trailer for "About Time" will remind everyone of her rightful place in our hearts. It's quite appropriate that the movie that will help her achieve this is written and directed by Richard Curtis, the fellow behind of the most beloved modern romcoms, "Love Actually."

Domhnall Gleeson plays Tim, a regular, awkward dude who inherits the rare talent of time travel when he turns 21. As his dad explains, it's passed down through the men in their family. (The fabulous Bill Nighy, who was also in "Love Actually," plays his pops.) This gives him the ability to both rectify events from his past and complicate his future. Naturally, he meets an adorable woman named Mary (McAdams!) and things get super wonky because, hello, the butterfly effect!

Gleeson's character definitely has the floppy-haired awkward Hugh Grant thing happening, and, naturally, McAdams looks charming as all heck. We'll laugh, we'll cry, it will be better than "Cats"! And less depressing than McAdams's earlier foray into romantic time travel, "The Time Traveler's Wife."

"About Time" will open in limited release November 1, and then go wide November 8.

'Toxic Avenger' Remake: Will Arnold Schwarzenegger Take on Troma?

http://news.moviefone.com/2013/05/14/toxic-avenger-remake_n_3272884.html#comments

What's weirder, that the former Governor of California might appear in "The Toxic Avenger," or that there's a 21st Century remake of the freaky underground favorite in the works?

The original "Toxic Avenger" was a low-budget, gross-out comedy about a nerd who mutates into a gnarly superhero and takes on the bad guys of Tromaville, NJ. Although it's not clear which part Arnold Schwarzenegger is in talks to play, this is indubitably an odd move for the former Terminator. Heck, it's an odd move to reboot this for today's audience, even with an updated story: to wit, "an average teen joins an environmental club to impress his crush. While doing some investigating at a waste plant, he is thrown into a tub of waste and transforms into a radioactive hero."

Writer and director Lloyd Kaufman and his studio, Troma Entertainment, have been an endless font of modern B-movie madness since the '70s. Movies like "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead" and "Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D." have been delighting weirdoes around the world, but none of the Troma titles have been particularly successful. Then again, when Hollywood is busy conjuring movies about board games, maybe something this strange is just what the doctor ordered.

"Hot Tub Time Machine" director Steve Pink is sharing screenwriting duties with Daniel C. Mitchell. Pink, who also wrote "Grosse Pointe Blank" and "High Fidelity," will direct. All of Pink's most famous movies star John Cusack, so let's hold out a tiny spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, he'll do a small cameo.

In the meantime, Schwarzenegger has a busy dance card. He's taken on the role of group executive editor for Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines, and has a number of other movies in development.

http://news.moviefone.com/2013/05/14/jaden-smith-emancipated_n_3272800.html#comments

Will Smith has revealed that his "After Earth" co-star and son Jaden has asked to be legally emancipated for his 15th birthday.

Although this seems like it would be a difficult gift to put a bow on, Smith seems OK with the idea -– or at least cool enough to laugh it off. Smith told The Sun, "[Jaden] says, 'Dad, I want to be emancipated.' I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh…"

Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, are known for their laid-back approach to parenting. As Smith notes, "That's the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand." Plenty of folks have tisk-tisk'd over the Smith kids and their choices, like Willow's punky style, but the method seems to be working well for the family. And they're definitely a successful bunch so far, from Jaden's acting career to Willow's music moves.

Jaden's acting career has mostly been under the tutelage of his father, Will. The two appeared as father and son in "The Pursuit of Happyness," and the elder Smith later produced a reboot of "The Karate Kid," which was Jaden's first starring role. They're reprising their onscreen relationship again in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan film "After Earth," which opens May 31. Smith is also a producer on the film.

"After Earth" takes place in a dystopian future where humans live on planet Nova Prime; they left for mysterious reasons referred to only as a catastrophe. Cypher (Will Smith) is a commanding officer trying to bond with his less successful son Kitai (Jaden) by taking him on a mission to Earth. When they are the only survivors of a crash landing, they have to get to know each other better really quickly out of necessity.

Naturally, there are parallels between their onscreen and off-screen relationship, as Smith notes. "[Y]our father's the biggest movie star in the world, and you're struggling for your little piece of dignity in this extreme shadow."

Will Jaden soon be living on his own? Will their onscreen collaboration mean big box-office earnings? We'll have to wait until the end of May to find out about the latter, at least.

http://news.moviefone.com/2013/05/14/angelina-jolie-double-mastectomy_n_3272217.html#comments

Angelina Jolie, arguably one of the world's most famous actresses, lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 2007. After learning that she also has a predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer, thanks to genetic testing for a mutated BRCA1 gene, Jolie made the decision to have a preventative double mastectomy to lower her chances of developing breast cancer.

She revealed the details of this three-month process in an op-ed for the New York Times to spread the message that other people who have similar predispositions have options and can be empowered to take charge of their own health.

As Jolie notes, "Breast cancer alone kills some 458,000 people each year, according to the World Health Organization, mainly in low- and middle-income countries." Unfortunately, as she mentions, the genetic tests for mutations in the RCA1 and BRCA2 genes are prohibitively expensive for many. Anyone who has wrestled with insurance companies knows that preventative care can be hard to come by. Preventative surgery of this nature is not necessarily the right choice for every person, but the information and reassurance that Jolie provides is invaluable.

Jolie's article will also, hopefully, help others to feel less shameful about their own treatments and surgeries, and to feel hopeful about their prospects. After undergoing the surgery, she reports, "My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent." In regards to the reconstructive surgery, "There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful."

The tabloids follow Angelina Jolie's every move, along with her partner Brad Pitt and their children, so it seems that some sort of speculation would be inevitable. Kudos to Jolie for taking charge of her public image, in addition to her health, and spreading the word of empowerment to women facing cancer.

Warner Bros. has snapped up the rights to develop a "Dungeons & Dragons" movie.

"Wrath of the Titans" writer David Leslie Johnson wrote a script in 2012 known as "Chainmail" that was to be developed at Warner Bros. The as-yet untitled "D&D" movie will be based on that script, with some tweaks to it more in the style of that world-famous role-playing game. The original script took its cues from the pre-"D&D" tabletop wargame with the same name, developed by Gary Gygax.

The sort of fanbase that enjoys "D&D" is the stuff that studio execs dream of, but there's not really a way to capture the spirit of the open-ended game system on film. The storyline is co-created by the players and led by one Dungeon Master, with the adventure unfolding based on throws of the dice and minute-by-minute decisions. Trying to "reboot the franchise for a new generation," as Deadline describes it, is a fallacy because people still play "D&D" on a regular basis, and while there are various versions with different rules and settings, you can set up a game any time, any place, with nothing but your imagination and a polyhedral dice.

There's already been one D&D movie, a 2000 New Line flick with Jeremy Irons, Marlon Wayans, and Thora Birch, but it did bupkis at the box office. That movie's director, Courtney Solomon, is one of the producers of this project.

Let's see if they roll a natural 20 this time around.

They say you can't go home again, but that won't stop some people from trying. In "The World's End," Simon Pegg plays a dodgy fellow named Gary who's determined to get his stodgy grown-up friends to recreate a pub crawl they went on 20 years ago. Their destination? A pub called, you guessed it, The World's End. They didn't make it there last time -- 12 pubs is rather a lot -- but this time, darn it, they'll see it through no matter what.

As Gary, Pegg drags his frequent co-star Nick Frost, actor/director Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman of "The Hobbit" and "Sherlock" fame, and serious dramatic actor Eddie Marsan along for the ride. Sure enough, The World's End and their goal of total drunken annihilation becomes a fight to save the world from glowy-eyed aliens. Of course, it's all a clever metaphor for growing up and all that, but still, braindead suburbanites! Beer! Boyish shenanigans!

Pegg and director Edgar Wright wrote "The World's End." Along with Frost, they're famous for collaborations on "Hot Fuzz," "Shaun of the Dead," and British TV show "Spaced," so you know "The World's End" will be loaded with pop culture references and rapid-fire humor. The trailer is so tantalizing, from Pegg's grungy aging teen look to Freeman's dorky Bluetooth earpiece. As Pegg told USA Today, "When Edgar and I were pitching it to each other, we had this idea as it being like 'The Big Chill' but if the corpse came along for the ride. That's Gary."

Sadly, "The World's End" is a sort of bookend to "Shaun" and "Hot Fuzz," meaning that, although it's likely the trio will work together again, this will be the end of their "blood and ice-cream trilogy." As Pegg described it, "'Shaun of the Dead' has strawberry, 'Hot Fuzz' has the original Cornetto flavour, and there will be a mint-choc chip in the third film."

"The World's End" hits theaters on August 23.

It's never too early to start beating the Oscar drum, is it? The Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for Lee Daniels's "The Butler," a star-studded affair inspired by a true story.

Forest Whitaker stars as Cecil Gaines, the eponymous butler who worked at the White House for over 30 years and under eight different presidents, including Dwight Eisenhower (Robin Williams), JFK (James Marsden), LBJ (Liev Schreiber), Richard Nixon (John Cusack), and Ronald Reagan (Alan Rickman). Oscar-winner Melissa Leo plays Mamie Eisenhower, and fist-pumping liberal Jane Fonda is on board as Nancy Reagan.

As a silent servant, his unique vantage point -- and sworn secrecy -- gave him an insight to the changes afoot in politics and race that we can only imagine. Oprah Winfrey stars as Cecil's wife, and David Oyelowo plays their increasingly radical son Louis.

You know "The Butler" must be something special to get one of the most powerful businesswomen in the world back on screen after 10 years. Winfrey last appeared in "Beloved," Jonathan Demme's adaptation of the incredible novel by Toni Morrison. Of course, there's also the matter of Terrence Howard's rather naughty descriptions of his love scene with Oprah, but the less said about that, the better.

"The Butler" will be in theaters on October 18, just in time for Oscar season.

If you've ever longed to see Leonard Nimoy recite lines from his infamous song "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins," your day is about to reach new levels of awesome. In this new Audi commercial with Nimoy and Zachary Quinto, modern-day Spock goes toe-to-toe with old-school Spock as they race each other to the golf course.

Unfortunately for Nimoy, his car is as behind the times as the old Holodeck. Fortunately for fans, this commercial is jam-packed with nods and winks to the "Star Trek" universe, like "The Wrath of Khan" and that infamous Death Grip.

The commercial was directed by comedy team Paul W. Downs & Lucia Aniello, aka Paulilu and produced by PMK*BNC.

"Star Trek: Into Darkness" swoops into theaters in the United States on May 17. It's already opened abroad.

"G.I. Joe" screenwriters David Elliot and Paul Lovett claim their ideas for the sequel were snatched, and now they're suing.

Lovett and Elliot have filed a $23 million copyright infringement lawsuit against Paramount, MGM, Hasbro, and production company Di Bonaventura Pictures, along with a "breach of implied contract," according to Deadline.

Deadline reports, "Not long after that film came out, they were requested to put together some ideas for a sequel with the understanding that they would get the scribe gig on the movie if their ideas were accepted."

Lovett and Elliot are claiming that, more than tossing ideas around, they discussed their pitch for the sequel with the producers in person, over the phone, and through email. The complaint, which you can read on Deadline.com, notes that their pitch included "original plotlines, themes, characters, relationships, settings, scenes, sequences, dialogue, mood, pacing and fictional inventions for the Sequel."

"G.I. Joe: Retaliation" opened in March after almost a year's delay –- everyone needs a little more Channing Tatum, although the 3D tweaking is up for debate.

Someone is coming up Snake Eyes. The only question is who.

Jada Pinkett Smith is putting on her dancing and producing shoes for "Salsa," a new romantic comedy with William Levy. Levy has appeared on a number of Spanish-language TV shows, but his star has been rising in the States because of a smoldering season on "Dancing With the Stars." Naturally, he plays a salsa teacher who helps Pinkett Smith's character get her groove back. Whether that's metaphorical or the more old-fashioned way has yet to be seen, but with romcom expert Amy Heckerling writing and directing, all signs point to a love connection.

Levy's got a number of projects coming up, including Tyler Perry's "Single Moms Club" and the drama "Addicted." There's also buzz that the up-and-comer really wants to hit up Broadway. He's hoping for a chance to play Emilio Estefan in the singer's autobiographical Broadway musical. He's also been busy with a new Pepsi campaign. Unfortunately for everyone ever, he turned down a plum opportunity to appear in "Magic Mike" last year.

Pinkett Smith has been doing plenty of voice work lately, as well as working hard on her music career. According to the blog Shadow and Act, she'll also be headlining "La escribana de uraba," a thriller based on "the true story of a 14-year-old Colombian girl whose father was killed in the late 1980s, and the investigation into his death by a US multinational representative."

Heckerling's most recent film was the sadly underseen vampire romantic comedy "Vamps," with Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter.
