This movie is amazing. I knew I would love it because my brother, Vance DeGeneres, produced it, and I know from experience that he has great taste. He introduced me to 'Captain Kangaroo.' But I didn't expect to love this movie as much as I do. It's astoundingly good.

The acting in this movie is incredible. Julianne Moore is heartbreaking, Emma Stone is hilarious, and Steve Carell is a perfect combination of hilarious and heartbreaking.

Ellen DeGeneres on 'Bridesmaids' and Women in Comedy

If you're looking for an amazingly good time this summer that'll have you dancing up the aisles and laughing like you've never laughed before, I have one word for you: Tequila. Or you can go see, 'Bridesmaids.'

I loved it. There are so many hilarious moments in it, like when Kristen Wiig is on the plane. I don't know how any of the actors were able to keep a straight face.

Everyone in this film was fantastic. I loved Chris O'Dowd as the police officer. Maya Rudolph was on my show and called him a "hunky Irish morsel," and I agree. She also thought I should be in the sequel, so clearly she's smart and her opinion is to be valued.

Ellen DeGeneres's Guide to This Summer's Movies

I love summer movies. Especially when I go with my mama. She always tells the box office clerk that she wants a ticket for her favorite daughter. She also tells them that I'm 7.

There are a lot of great movies coming out this summer, so I thought I'd give you a heads-up about a few of them.

'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' comes out in August, and I can't wait. The trailer looks really scary. When I was growing up I was fascinated by apes. Personally, I think a planet of apes would be great, but can you imagine the price of bananas?

I'm also excited for 'Super 8.' People are saying it's like a modern day 'E.T.' I'm glad. 'E.T.' hasn't been the same since Mary Hart left.
