It's all over for "Body of Proof."

The Dana Delany series will not move to a new network despite previous reports. A rep for ABC Studios confirmed the news to The Huffington Post.

The series, which stars Delany as medical examiner Dr. Megan Hunt, is wrapping up its third seasons on ABC. Its numbers were relatively strong compared to other networks and a few ABC shows.

Delany tweeted her response to the news:

Thank you to all who campaigned for #BodyOfProof4. 3rd most watched drama @abcnetwork thanks to you.
Here's how ABC describes the series finale of "Body of Proof," titled "Daddy Issues":

Tommy goes along with Megan to her father's exhumation, which only yields more mysteries to what she has always been told was his suicide. Megan's mother, Joan, suggests Megan look into her late husband's patient files, which may be connected to his death -- and that of one of his patients, too.

Gillian Anderson On 'The Fall' And Returning To American TV In 'Crisis'

Gillian Anderson is staging an impressive return to the TV.

Later this month, "The Fall," a five-episode successful BBC 2 series starring Anderson, makes its way to Netflix. The series, which co-stars "The Good Wife's" Archie Panjabi and "Once Upon a Time" veteran Jamie Dornan, is a provocative murder mystery that follows Stella Gibson (Anderson), a detective superintendent who is called in to investigate a serial killer in Belfast.

All five episodes will be on Netflix beginning May 28 and Anderson says it won't disappoint. "Finish 'The Fall,'" she told The Huffington Post in a phone interview. "It gets better and better, I promise."

Anderson, who spent nine seasons as Dana Scully on "The X-Files," is returning to viewers' lives in a big way. Later this year, the actress, who's been recurring on NBC's "Hannibal," will also be in the Peacock Network's "Crisis," a new drama from Rand Ravich. Below, Anderson opens up about her upcoming projects, how she felt about playing a detective again, what she has binge-watched and much more.

Were you drawn to the character of Stella Gibson or the story of "The Fall"?
I think if I'm honest, primarily, initially, the character. I find her so intriguing and I still find her quite mysterious and I think that's quite unusual for a contemporary drama. I like the way she handles situations and I thought I kind of need to be this person for a while. Obviously, the scripts themselves were very well-written, very compelling, very emotionally engaging. I knew that after having conversations with [the minds behind "The Fall"] that they had similar ideas as I did about how it should be shot and once we were all on the same page, it just seemed like something I couldn't not do.

Were you apprehensive about playing a detective character again?
No. I mean, since the end of "The X-Files," I've played other law enforcement officials. I've played MI-5, MI-7. It seems to be something that follows me a bit, but Stella seems so different to me than Scully that it didn't feel like it was going to hamper my trajectory in any way. That's what's interesting to me as much as anything: having an opportunity to play different characters no matter what it is that they do for a living.

The rest of "The Fall" cast -- Archie Panjabi with "The Good Wife" and Jamie Dornan with "Once Upon a Time" -- has had crossover success here. How was it working with them?
Archie is a fantastic actress and we have a very interesting and compelling relationship in "The Fall." Anytime that you get good, seasoned actors on the set together, it can only raise everybody's game. It's always a pleasure. Jamie Dornan was probably one of the only people that would've been right for this role. Just everything he brings to the character -- the fact that he is as attractive as he is and he is completely believable as a father (and quite a doting father) and equally believable as a serial killer. That's quite a tall order and there's something particularly creepy about the concept that somebody might be attracted to a person who was, at the same time, doing those types of things to women, which throws up the types of questions this series as a whole asks. Where is that line that's drawn between the people who think about doing things and acting in particular ways and the ones that actually do it? How close is he to everybody else who lives a similar life that he does, except for one little area of his life? [Laughs.]

Yeah, just a little area.
[Laughs.] A tiny one.

Have you ever binge-watched anything?
The only thing that I've ever binge-watched was the first season of "The Killing." I was in Michigan for a couple of weeks and therefore, had no other commitments. My children were with me [laughs] and I needed a distraction. [While I was watching,] I got that feeling like I needed a heroin hit. Like, literally. [Laughs.] I have not had that before -- where my heart started to palpitate and I couldn't get my next DVD in quick enough. You know, that kind of thing. I haven't given myself the opportunity to have [that feeling] since because it literally terrifies me. The thought that I'd get so hooked on something else that would make me decide to watch it instead of spend time with my kids or instead of watching something else that I might, in a highfalutin way, think is better for my brain, I start to hyperventilate.

Why did you pick "Crisis" for your return to American TV?
First of all, I had a deal with NBC to develop something. We were getting close to the end of that time and I wasn't sure if there was going to be something to draw my attention enough to make that commitment. And then, what has been called up until this point the "Untitled Rand Ravich Project" [Laughs.], was a page-turner. I couldn't put the script down. I thought that it might be kind of cool to step into an ensemble that wasn't going to take a huge amount of my time. It was something that I thought, "I kind of want to know what happens next in this." It seemed like it was going to tick many boxes because it was going work with my schedule and I could have a presence, but not as big a commitment as a lead character. It just seemed do-able and like it would be a fun piece to be involved with. After talking to Rand and Far [Shariat, "Crisis" executive producer], they're great guys and they have a real commitment to making this real quality television.

Also, with NBC's stated commitment to making shows that feel more like cable, I'm counting on them to allow us to do that because that's how this is going to work. It doesn't have to be as dark as "Hannibal," but I thought they were very successful in being able to do what they have with "Hannibal" and keep it on primetime network for as long as they have and there's another opportunity with this show and I'm hoping that that's what it turns out to be.

Do you think fans of "The X-Files" will follow "Crisis"? Is it up their alley?
It seems these days that everybody seems to watch everything. I don't know if that's right or wrong, just because people can watch things whenever they want to, whenever they have time to. People who enjoy "24" and enjoy "Homeland" -- hopefully this is going to have that kind of a feel to it. If people start watching it because they had been fans of "The X-Files" and wanted to see what I'm doing next -- after seeing the pilot, I have to say that people are not going to be able to not watch Episode 2. I don't know what it's going to look like, but they're not going to be able to not watch it. If they started coming there for me and they come back because there's quality television, then great.

"The Fall" premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, May 28. "Crisis" hits NBC on Sundays at 10 p.m. later in 2013.

Why 'Law And Order: SVU' Is Still Around 15 Years Later

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/22/law-and-order-svu-season-15_n_3314321.html#comments

Fortunately for "Law & Order: SVU" fans, the end of the long-running series isn't in sight yet. NBC recently renewed the drama for a fifteenth season and series star Dann Florek has an idea why the show is still so successful.

"Great storytelling. Great writing. I think we have a terrific cast and great guest stars," Florek told The Huffington Post on the red carpet of NBC's 2013 upfront in mid-May. "It's important subject matter that really needs to be addressed. The fans are very loyal."

Florek has been a part of Dick Wolf's NBC franchise since the beginning. After three seasons on "Law & Order," Florek's Captain Cragen moved over to "SVU," where he's stayed for 14 seasons.

Richard Belzer has also been along for the ride for quite some time, playing Detective Jon Munch for more than 20 years across multiple iterations of "Law & Order" after originating on "Homicide: Life On The Street." Munch has also appeared on "The Wire," "Arrested Development" and "The X-Files."

Will Belzer be hanging up those tinted glasses and putting the conspiracy theories to bed anytime soon? Don't bet on it.

"I'd be a fool to say I didn't want to do it anymore and I'm certainly not bored with the character because the writing is so good," Belzer told The Huffington Post. "He's very close to how I would be if I were in that situation, so it's a dream."

"Law & Order: SVU" is known for taking stories from the headlines and putting news spins on the real-life situations. "Our show reverberates throughout the community ... it's more than a television show," Belzer said. "It meets the needs of the audience as a dramatic series, but also affects the community, which is just a great plus for us."

Danny Pino, who joined "SVU" in Season 13, said "SVU" is "life-affirming."

"I think one of the best things the show does is it shines light on the darkest part of the human condition and in doing so, I think it also is life-affirming. It's not just exploiting it or trivializing it," he told The Huffington Post.

Florek echoed Pino's sentiments. "['SVU'] stimulates conversation, it makes people aware of issues they should be aware of. I find parents talk to their kids and address things," he said. "I think it's one of the reasons we're still around."

The Season 14 finale of "Law & Order: SVU" airs Wed., May 22 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

The "Arrested Development" cast members had a lot of TV and film credits before they were the dysfunctional Bluth family.

Jessica Walter -- matriarch Lucille Bluth on the former Fox, now Netflix series -- has been making TV appearances since the 1960s. She won an Emmy for "Amy Prentiss" in 1975 and in 1977, Walter guest starred in a "Wonder Woman" episode, "The Return of Wonder Woman."

Jason Bateman (Michael Bluth) started acting at a young age and appeared on "Silver Spoons," "Little House on the Prairie" and "Valerie"/"The Hogan Family."

Alia Shawkat and Mae Whitman met as co-stars in Fox Family's 2001-2002 series "State of Grace" before they were Maeby Funke and Ann Veal.

'Arrested Development': Portia De Rossi, Michael Cera, Tony Hale Preview The Return Of The Bluths

It's been 10 years since the world was first introduced to the dysfunctional Bluth family, but they're more popular than ever. "Arrested Development" lasted for three seasons and 53 episodes on Fox before getting the axe, but the cult-hit found more viewers after its death thanks to word of mouth and Netflix. Now, again thanks to Netflix, "Arrested Development" is back from the dead with 15 new episodes.

Many members of the cast said they never thought this day would come.

"It depends on when you asked me," Porti de Rossi (Lindsay Bluth-Funke) told The Huffington Post in a phone interview. "When we were canceled back in 2006, I would have never imagined that we would do this rival for Netflix or be a part of this kind of business model where they can release all episodes at the same time ... But a part of me knew because the cast loved the show so much and loved working with each other and we just admire and respect Mitch [Hurwitz, creator] so much that I kind of figured that we would all get together again at some point to do something."

Michael Cera (George-Michael Bluth) echoed De Rossi's sentiments. "I thought it was done for good, like most TV shows. It never occurred to me that we'd have this opportunity," Cera said in a phone interview. "I always thought it would be fun to pickup where the story left off because it's such an ongoing story and that figures into that, obviously. Mostly I just wanted to be around these people again."

The entire cast of "Arrested Development" assembled for new episodes -- Cera, De Rossi, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter -- working around other projects to make the revival happen.

"It was very exciting. It was very surreal ... It was one of those things where you couldn't believe it was happening," Tony Hale (Buster Bluth) said via phone. "Honestly, I think all of us didn't really believe it until we got on set that first day, the first day everyone was together ... It was strange being back on the set again. They had recreated the whole penthouse to look exactly how it was. Being Buster again, hearing the degrading voice of Lucille just brought back so many [memories] ... There are a lot of expectations placed on the show since it stopped airing and getting back into it, you're worried about matching it. Hearing Jessica Walter's voice, just kind of the way she says 'Buster!' -- just that patronizing, abusive tone that she has -- it was so funny and just clicked right in. It was like riding a bike again. It's really, really going to be fun."

Cera said the fictional family reunion was "incredible." "It's one thing to see people every now and then all apart, but to actually be getting to work with these people under the same -- more or less -- circumstances ... I never thought I could even hope for it," he said.

The new season picks up years after viewers last saw the Bluth family and each individual character has his or her own episode recapping what's happened in their lives since we last saw them.

"Yeah, I mean it was surreal," de Rossi said. "It was kind of unbelievable. For me, it felt like hardly any time had passed and then I'd look at Michael Cera and he's a man now and I'd be like, 'Oh, God. It's been a long time since I've been here, but it just felt like yesterday.' It was a very, very surreal moment that not many actors get to experience unless you do a sequel to a movie, I guess it would be similar to that."

De Rossi said she approached playing Lindsay differently this time around because the time away from the series changed her attitude toward the character. "I think I had a little bit more sympathy for her than I did back then." I kind of saw her as someone who was struggling this time around rather than somebody who was just completely self-confident, self-involved and kind of a twit who didn't care. I think maybe it might be a tiny bit of a more mature approach to the same kind of person. Maybe, I don't know," she said with a laugh.

This season, look for Lindsay Bluth-Funke to actually try and change for the better. "In my scripts, I kind of go on a little bit of a journey. I think my character kind of, at least tries to evolve, grow and learn and figure out who she is and what she wants out of life," she said. "She may not actually come up with the answers, but she does attempt to figure all of that out ... as opposed to the original series, it was a little bit of a different direction for her."

Part of that journey somehow includes an ostrich and De Rossi said she doesn't recommend the giant birds as scene partners."I would take young children or cats, actually, over an ostrich because they're kind of scary. We were in some very tight situations together and just the way they look at you and the beak and the claws ... Yeah, I don't recommend it," she said.

What else can fans expect? Lots more incest. "I mean, it gets really, really strange this season," Cera said. "The incest is just going out in all directions at this point ... it's no longer on a leash." There will be a few returning jokes, but Cera said Hurwitz made a big effort not to use previous shows as a crutch for jokes."I mean, he's a guy that's so uneasily impressed, so I much preferred watching him come up with all the new stuff, that to me is endlessly quotable," he said.

De Rossi said the way the new episodes are written, it's worth watching the season more than once. "You're going to miss jokes like you wouldn't believe because you're just focused on the action or you're kind of not looking for a joke because it hasn't been set up yet," she said. "My only advice would be to go back and watch the episodes again, just so you get the full experience of it. It's not like you're not going to know what's going on -- it's very clear, it's very easy to follow -- but your experience is going to be so much richer if you watch the episodes more than once."

There's been a lot of secrecy surrounding the return of "Arrested Development," but the cast stressed that fans won't be disappointed. Hale said he's looking forward to watching to get the full experience. "The truth of it is, I would read the script and I would have no clue what was going on. That is such a testament to the faith that we have in Mitch Hurwitz," Hale said. "We just know that he'll hand you stuff to do and you'll do it, knowing he has the whole puzzle worked out in his head. I'm looking forward to May 26 to see how it all works out. I have no clue. I'm waiting for the surprises myself because it's such an intricate comic matrix he has going. I can't wait to see how it all plays out because I have no clue."

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ended 10 years ago on May 20, 2003. Yes, it's been a decade since the Slayer and the Scoobies closed the Hellmouth in Sunnydale, California.

Series star Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV opposite Robin Williams with "The Crazy Ones," a new comedy on CBS this fall. At the CBS 2013 upfront red carpet last week, Gellar was surprised by how much time has passed since she last wielded a wooden stake on TV.

"Wait, wait. Hold on. Really?" she replied when The Huffington Post told her the 10th anniversary of the "Buffy" finale was upon us. "Wow. God, you just blew my mind." Williams, who accompanied Gellar on the red carpet said, "It's kind of wonderful."

"It is," Gellar said. "I'm incredibly proud of that show -- proud of everybody on it, of what we did ... You can't be prouder of that show. It still holds up in reruns and I'm blessed every day ... I've been pretty lucky."

Danny Strong, the writer of "Recount" and "Game Change," appeared as Jonathan, a former high-school geek who became one of the villains in Season 6 of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and said the show is bigger now than when it was originally on.

"It just gets bigger each year. It's really exciting how much it penetrated this public consciousness in a way. People teach courses about it and there are Joss Whedon courses in universities. People write their dissertations on it," he told The Huffington Post. "It's incredibly flattering and I'm really honored just to have been a part of it. It's very exciting."

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" lives on in comic book form with new adventures from Dark Horse Comics executive produced by series creator Joss Whedon.

Best 'Arrested Development' Moments, As Picked By The Cast (VIDEO)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/20/best-arrested-development-moments_n_3247412.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/20/best-arrested-development-moments_n_3247412.html#comments

Ask any "Arrested Development" fan for their favorite moment and chances are they'll come up with the scene or joke in a matter of seconds. However, it's a little harder for the cast, who spent three years living and breathing the show, to pick just one.

Will Arnett, GOB Bluth to "Arrested" fans, said he had the most fun doing the Season 2 episode "Afternoon Delight," which was directed by series star Jason Bateman. "[We] ended up telling half of a joke of GOB saying, 'Are you f---ing kidding me? Come on!' But we told the second part first," Arnett told The Huffington Post. "You pick up the scene of me saying '-king me? Come on!' And later in the show you see me go up to the, 'Are you f-' It's almost like they split up that scene and told it in reverse.

"That was super fun and Jason directed. And you know, he's a monster," Arnett joked.

Portia de Rossi, Lindsay Bluth Funke on "Arrested Development," told The Huffington Post that she didn't have a favorite episode, but there is a particular gag that comes to mind. "It was the entire episode where you were overhearing extremely intimate conversations and then it would pan out and you'd see they were in the boardroom with like 20 people just waiting for them to stop talking," the actress said in a phone interview. "The episode in the jail where they're talking about Buster and how horrible and terrible he is and he's sitting right there when the camera pans out. It's just silly things like that that are just so funny."

De Rossi has a soft spot for one particular character. "I just love Lucille. I just love that character so much," she said. "I mean, Lucille is just my favorite and some of my favorite lines are things that she said. She's just so fantastic."

Lucille Bluth, the matriarch of "Arrested Development," is played by Jessica Walter. She's known for not liking all of her children, boozing it up early in the morning and loving a certain private eye who has a tendency to show up in disguise. Walter told The Huffington Post that one of her favorite character moments was when Lucille got a facelift. "When I came out of makeup, I scared myself," she said in a phone interview. "It was so brilliantly done, the makeup."

In a Season 1 episode of "Arrested Development," Lucille Bluth found herself home alone without her son, Buster. "Oh gosh, I had so many wonderful scenes, it's hard to pinpoint. Another one was when Buster leaves her, and she's at home, drinking and eating cake, lying on the table, listening to music from 'Gypsy,'" she said.

Tony Hale, Buster Bluth who has an unusually close relationship with his mother, said one of his favorite moments came from the Season 1 episode "Public Relations."

"They said Buster was neither seen nor heard growing up," Hale told The Huffington Post via phone with a laugh. "And I loved that he was wearing a shirt that perfectly matched the wallpaper. He took it as far as his wardrobe. He was like, 'You're not even going to see my body. I'll be standing in front of you and you still won't see me.' He was very, very faithful to the title he was given of 'neither seen nor heard.' It was just a testament to how everybody on the show was on the same page. That was all wardrobe. Obviously the writers came up with it, but it was just kind of fun riding that wave. Just stuff like that was really hilarious and fun."

"We Are Men" on CBS is bringing Tony Shalhoub back to TV. The "Monk" star appears opposite Kal Penn, Jerry O'Connell and Chris Smith in the new comedy about four divorced men living in a short-term housing complex trying -- and often failing -- at finding new love.

Since the show is about four friends, The Huffington Post asked the four stars to describe their new show in four words.

Jerry O'Connell: "We are divorced men."
Tony Shalhoub: "Not good at committed relationships." [Technically it's five words, but he won three Emmys for "Monk," so it's excusable.]
Chris Smith: "Good guys, bad ideas."
Kal Penn: "Friendship, love, mistakes, ridiculousness."

This is Shalhoub's first series since "Monk" ended in 2009. " He picked "We Are Men" for a particular reason. "Well, CBS pays the most of all the networks," he joked.

O'Connell said the show has a great message. "It's a comedy and it does make fun of being recently divorced, but it's got a great message. Life is not over when you get divorced, there's a light at the end of the tunnel."

Watch a preview for "We Are Men" below. The new comedy airs at 8:30 p.m. on Mondays.

"Mom" on CBS is bringing Anna Faris and Allison Janney together.

The new sitcom from Chuck Lorre stars Faris as Christy, a newly sober single mom. This is Faris' first regular TV gig and "The House Bunny" actress said a combination of things drew her to the project.

"The script was so strong and so funny, the character was so complicated and dimensional and then obviously Chuck Lorre and CBS. You couldn't be in better hands." Faris told The Huffington Post on the red carpet of CBS's upfront presentation. "Then Allison came on ... it sounds like one of these actor soundbites that I'm about to tell you, but ... I would wake up and be really excited to go to work. Even though we have our dream jobs, basically it doesn't always happen."

Janney plays Bonnie, Christy's passive-aggressive mother who is also struggling with her own addictions. To say the relationship is complicated is an understatement. "What's great about our relationship is just how truthful it is," Faris said. "This is something that I'm sure any woman can relate to -- this very frustrating relationship."

After years on "The West Wing," a comedy was a welcome change for Janney. "I'd been looking for this scenario, this situation for my whole career," she said. "To get to do this schedule and have a life -- I mean, for all my years on "West Wing" and doing 18-hour days, I've given blood and I feel like I need a little blood put back in me."

Janney said she had no personal life while doing seven seasons of "The West Wing." "I am thrilled to not only get to throw my hat into the three-camera arena, [but] to get to act with in front of a live audience with all my years of theater and training and have it be a comedy with Anna and Chuck, it's really, truly a dream situation."

Watch a preview of "Mom" below. The new comedy airs Mondays at 9:30 p.m. on CBS this fall.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/16/the-millers-will-arnett-up-all-night_n_3287462.html#comments

Will Arnett is leaving behind the single-camera comedy world for CBS's "The Millers." He hasn't left the family comedy angle though. The show co-stars Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale as his parents, who are going through a bitter separation and Arnett's character, a local news reporter, is recently divorced himself.

"['The Millers'] is a way to tell a different version of a family, but in a really fun environment," Arnett told The Huffington Post at the CBS 2013 upfront. "It's not dark -- it's just like this really fun family that people can relate to and there are dark moments, but we really make light of it. It's a pure comedy."

Arnett, who will reprise his "Arrested Development" role when the show returns with new episodes on Netflix May 26, recently spent two seasons on NBC's "Up All Night." The show made headlines when news broke of a dramatic overhaul -- turning the show from single-camera into a multi-cam -- and series star Christina Applegate announced he was leaving the series.

"Yeah, I think that, for a lot of reasons that were beyond anybody's control, the show kind of went on its own path," Arnett said. "It ended up where it ended up and ['The Millers'] presented itself to me and I really wanted to work with Greg Garcia. I love Greg -- known him a long time and he's so consistently funny. I thought here's an opportunity to do a show that's about a family that will be really fun and it won't be a bummer it'll just be ... classic TV comedy. We can still have a chance to do that. We can maybe be the last classic TV comedy. The idea of doing it in front of an audience and all that, it just seems so much fun to me."

Bridges also praised "The Millers" creator Garcia, whose other TV credits include "My Name is Earl" and "Raising Hope." As Tom Miller, Bridges is joining the ranks of sitcom fathers. His favorite? Archie Bunker from "All in the Family." "I love Carroll O'Connor. He was a buddy of mine," Bridges said.

Martindale, who won an Emmy for her performance on "Justified" and recently appeared on the FX spy drama "The Americans," said Garcia was also what drew her to the project. "And maybe it's time for me to stop killing people," Martindale said of her switch from dramas to comedy. "I just hope it's funny in a belly-laughing kind of way."

'Hostages': Toni Collette, Dylan McDermott Preview Their 'Intense' New CBS Drama

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/16/hostages-toni-collette-dylan-mcdermott_n_3282576.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/16/hostages-toni-collette-dylan-mcdermott_n_3282576.html#comments

"Hostages" isn't your typical CBS drama. For starters, it stars Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Toni Collette, Dylan McDermott and Tate Donovan, new faces to the No. 1 network. And in an unprecedented twist by CBS's standards, the show is incredibly serialized and will only run 15 episodes during its first season.

In "Hostages," Collette plays a renowned surgeon tasked with operating on the president of the United States. Prior to the operation, her family is taken hostage by a rogue FBI agent, played by McDermott. Collette, who previously starred as a woman with multiple personality disorder on the Showtime comedy "United States of Tara," said many factors drew her to the drama.

"I think it's the brilliant writing" she told The Huffington Post at the CBS 2013 upfront red carpet. "And a chance to play one character. [Laughs.] I just really loved the world. I loved that I didn't know what was happening, although I thought I did. I found it really exciting to read. It really was a page-turner. I couldn't put it down."

While reading the pilot script, Collette didn't have any idea what the show was about. "My agents are very smart -- they didn't tell me what it was about at all," she said. "If I was a part of the audience, I would love to actually not know anything and just watch it because it's like, 'WHAT!' It's just so intense and surprising."

McDermott's character isn't a cut and dry villain. "He's not just a bad guy doing bad things," McDermott told The Huffington Post. "There's actually a very good reason he's doing what he's doing and it will be revealed."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/15/the-crazy-ones-sarah-michelle-gellar-robin-williams_n_3282280.html#comments

"The Crazy Ones" marks Robin Williams' return to series TV, his first regular gig since "Mork & Mindy" in the late 1970s. The new CBS series also marks Sarah Michelle Gellar's first half-hour TV comedy. The two are joined by co-stars James Wolk, Hamish Linklater, Amanda Setton and Kelly Clarkson appears in the pilot episode.

"The girl can act," Gellar said of Clarkson on CBS's Upfront 2013 red carpet.

"The group of people we have on this show is pretty wild ... They can go one-on-one so it's not like all you riffing. There's a lot of people doing great stuff backing it up. The writing is really great," Williams said.

In the series from David E. Kelley ("Chicago Hope," "The Practice" & "Ally McBeal"), Williams plays ad executive Simon Roberts, who's known for his unique way of thinking. Gellar plays his daughter, Sydney, a fellow executive at the firm.

What drew you to "The Crazy Ones" as your return to TV?
Robin Williams: Initially the script, and then all the people. Working with the people has been amazing.
Sarah Michelle Gellar: I get to be on television with Robin freaking Williams. I mean, hello! I didn't need anything else. And they pay me too, which is great.
Williams: Yeah, and the checks will clear because it's CBS.
Gellar: Yes, exactly!

Sarah, had you been looking for a comedy?
Gellar: Ultimately that is what I wanted to do. To me, some of the greatest parts of "Buffy" were the funny moments. You get to a point where it's like, "You know what? I've cried a lot. I'm ready to be funny."

Why are Sydney and Simon "The Crazy Ones"?
Williams: Literally, it's based on an Apple ad [from] years ago, the one that said, "Here's to the crazy ones." They didn't even have a product. They were just selling the idea of innovation and that's kind of the idea [of the show]. I'm kind of [playing] the idea guy. He's been on everything but skates. He's kind of crazy. When I watched a documentary about [ad] guys -- a lot of them, they live on the edge. All their ideas are outside the envelope, but at the same time, they get the simplest, purest image you can and go primal and in many cases, can go right for our consciousness. So that's what they're doing. [Gellar's] character is basically there to draw the line [while] I'll cross the line.

Sarah, are you the straight man in this dynamic duo?
Williams: Not at all.
Gellar: Hey, you know what? I would be the straight man to him any day. And I would be honored.
Williams: That's a loaded question.
Gellar: Yeah, sorry, I didn't get --
Williams: No, no. It's too late.
Gellar: Too far?
Williams: It's too late. That's the next movie.
Gellar: Just don't tell my husband, OK?

Robin, I loved your Kim Kardashian tweet.
Williams: Thank you! It was literally a response. A friend sent this picture and I said I did [think Mrs. Doubtfire wore it better].
Gellar: I say Robin.
Williams: It's really interesting to wear a couch. When I saw that floral pattern I said, "WOW!" [In "Mrs. Doubtfire" voice] Oh dear, I would know.
Gellar: Was it scotch-guarded too?
Williams: No. Oh God, it was scary. The number of tweets that hit after that and it was just me responding.

Did you like that it was single camera?
Williams: I love that it's a single camera.
Gellar: Well, there's a single camera, which is the Robin camera.
Williams: I have my own.
Gellar: Then there's the camera getting everyone else.
Williams: At home too. It's this weird thing -- it's mounted right here. [Motions to chest.] What is this? Me? The me network?
Gellar: I would watch it, by the way.
Williams: It'd be way beyond an upfront.
