In honor of our 20th birthday, we'll be celebrating movies and their impact on individual people. If there is a movie that has changed or inspired you, let us know by emailing moviefone-editorial@teamaol.com.In early 1997, a coworker suggested that I watch the movie 'Sleepless In Seattle' as a remedy to my frumpiness over Denver's lack of rainy days. I had never been to Seattle, but was told its rainy weather would be perfect for me, considering my love for rain. So, thinking it could be a "quick fix" of sorts -- a temporary elixir for my frumpy "I've got to have some rain" ailment --I decided to rent the movie.
After renting 'Sleepless In Seattle' and watching it about 12 times, I put Seattle at the top of my "must visit" list. I just had to witness this beautiful, rainy city first-hand. I loved everything about the movie -- the scenery, the marketplaces, the characters and, yes, even the rain-soaked streets.
