Irony is a screenwriter's bread and butter -- so it's only fitting that the notorious-sounding Black List has been recast as a veritable honor in Tinseltown. It began in 2005, when Franklin Leonard was wading through a sea of bad movie screenplays and called around for suggestions.

Now, a bonafide treasure trove of untapped talent, the Black List has snowballed into one of the most anticipated -- and prophetic -- accolades around. In year's past, the Black List has claimed such heavy-hitters as 'Lars and the Real Girl,' Diablo Cody's 'Juno' and Aaron Sorkin's 'The Social Network.' 2011's list has just been released. Take a look at 10 best unproduced screenplays making the rounds.
