Reese Witherspoon was struck by a car this morning while out jogging, but fortunately suffered only minor injuries. The Oscar-winning actress was jogging on Georgina Avenue near 20th Street in Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Police Department stated. She was taken by an ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and is "now resting comfortably at home," her rep told People.

According to police, the driver who hit her was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Witherspoon recently wrapped filming on 'This Means War' with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine.
