
With not one, but two alien invasion movies coming out this weekend, yet another big screen adaptation of a cartoon we grew up with, and Ryan Gosling taking his first stab at the world of comedy, we've got quite the eclectic lineup to choose from at the theater this weekend, and that's not even counting all the indies coming out.
So go right ahead and place your vote on what's looking good and what's looking lame among tomorrow's new releases.
'Cowboys & Aliens'
What's it about?: A wanted man wakes up in the desert with an alien bracelet on his arm and no memory of who he is or how he got there. He starts trouble in a nearby town, gets arrested, fights off an alien invasion, then heads out to find the alien HQ to save some people, regain his memory, and hopefully save his main squeeze in the process.
Who's in it?: Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Paul Dano, and Sam Rockwell, among others. Directed by Jon Favreau, written by Roberto Orci, Damon Lindelof, Hawk Ostby, Alex Kurtzman, and Mark Fergus.

What did we think of the trailer?: Not getting our hopes up, but if Neil Patrick Harris is involved, we can't help but be strangely interested.

'Attack the Block'
What's it about?: Aliens invade London, a group of teenage punks find them caught in the middle and they have to save the day before everyone in their neighborhood gets killed.
Who's in it?: Nick Frost, John Boyega, Jodie Whittaker, Luke Treadaway, and Alex Esmail, among others. Written and directed by Joe Cornish.
Where is it playing?: Limited release.
What did we think of the movie?: Awesome. Way better than 'Cowboys & Aliens.'

'Point Blank'
What's it about?: A safecracker gets framed for a murder, winds up in the hospital, gets his life saved by a male nurse. The next morning, the safe cracker's buddy kidnaps the male nurse's wife, tells the male nurse to break the safecracker out of the hospital if he wants his wife back, and so the two guys end up working together to save each other's lives, find out who wants them dead, and clear their good names in the process.
Who's in it?: Gilles Lellouche, and Roschdy Zem, among others. Directed by Fred Cavaye, written by Cavaye and Guillaume Lemans.
Where is it playing?: New York and Los Angeles.
What did we think of the movie?: Insane. Might be the wildest movie we've seen in theaters since 'The Bourne Ultimatum.' See it if you can.
