'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2' Already Setting Box Office Records

You didn't think the final 'Harry Potter' would go out on a quiet note, did you? According to Deadline, 'Deathly Hallows, Part 2' grossed $43.5 million in box office receipts last night alone, beating the previous midnight-showing record of $30 million set by 'Twilight: Eclipse.'

The current single-day record at the box office is held by another 'Twilight' film, 'New Moon,' with $72 million, which 'Potter' may break as well. The film is also currently on track to surpass another record, the opening-weekend grosses set by 'The Dark Knight,' with $158 million.

@ Valerie i work at the movie theters, and it was sold out....and the 3d version of it doesnt add much of the fun as 2d ...but it would be a nice experience if u see it in imax since it is the last potter and the only 3d...and in our theter where i work we are all in gryffindor uniforms like reallyy...hahaha...and we opened 24 auditoriums and it was sold out...and the we didnt see any twilight preview but the poster in theater they vandalized it..hahaha

I hope it's the top grossing film of all time! I mean, Dark Knight...really? Hmmm, folks in the audience seemed awfully excited about the new Dark Knight movie coming out soon. But many boo'd when they showed a 'Breaking Dawn' preview, lmao! HP will always trump Twilight!!
The midnight movie was amazing and lots of fun; loved all the creative costumes. There was a very convincing Mad Eye and the most creative, imo, went to Moaning Myrtle, a girl walking around w/a toilet seat on her head!!! I'm scheduled to go see HP7 pt2 again on Tuesday w/some friends. But I don't know if I can get thru the weekend w/out seeing it again. Want to catch it on IMAX 3D. Anyone seen the 3D version yet? Is it worth it? Long Live HP!!!
