Nearly 12 years after 'Monsters, Inc.' debuted, 'Monsters University,' will revisit our favorite closet-dwelling beasts.
Billy Crystal and John Goodman return as the voices of Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan, but this time they're students in Monster school, and they can't stand each other. The film will tell the story of how they eventually became the best of friends.
Pixar promises a few returning favorite characters and "a host of new faces." Dan Scanlon ('Cars') is directing, with Kori Rae ('Up,' 'The Incredibles' and the original 'Monsters, Inc.') producing.
The prequel is set for a June 21, 2013 release date and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D in select theaters.
