Stephen Collins, best known as benevolent Reverend Eric Camden on '7th Heaven,' has just joined the cast of the Farrelly brothers' 'The Three Stooges' as the villainous Mr. Harter.He and Sofia Vergara of 'Modern Family,' will play "a charming couple that adopts the slap-happy trio for less than benevolent reasons."
He joins a TV-centric cast with 'Will & Grace's Sean Hayes, 'MADtv's' Will Sasso, 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' star Larry David and 'Glee''s Jane Lynch.
Collins recently co-starred as Julie Benz's boss, Dr. Dayton King on 'No Ordinary Family.'
The film, which has a reported budget of $30 million, will be filmed in three 27-minute segments. Production is scheduled to begin in May for a 2012 release.
