As we inch closer to a world straight out of a sci-fi movie, here's a story that proves why that would be awesome.
Reddit member "captaincripple" lost his leg a little over a year ago in a motorbike accident; not letting the injury get him down, he asked his fellow Reddit users for help in designing his new prosthetic leg. Proving his guts, "captaincripple" said "nothing is out of bounds," and was inundated with a variety of suggestions -- pirate peg leg, pogo stick, C-3PO -- but one idea stood taller than the rest: the Terminator.
And now, he has his Terminator leg.

The artwork was designed by Stuart Vimpani of Brisbane, Australia.
"captaincripple" went back to Reddit to thank everyone for the input and answer any questions. He already plans to put it to good use, stating: "Not going to lie, not having a leg is the best conversation starter with the ladies, with my favourite line being 'I'll give you 3 guesses as to why I have a limp, if you get it wrong you can buy me a drink and let me flirt with you for a while.'"
