The legendary action star, coming off his acting and directing turn in last summer's 'The Expendables,' has lined up his next project. Stallone will star in 'Headshot,' an unlikely-partner action flick directed by Wayne Kramer (based off a script by Alessandro Camon) set to begin shooting in May.
The film finds Stallone playing a New Orleans hitman forced to team up with a New York cop to unravel two murders that take them from the mean streets to the halls of power in Washington.

'Headshot' won't begin filming until May, but production companies IM Global and EMJAG Productions will start shopping it to foreign buyers at this week's European Film Market in Berlin. Alexandra Milchan, Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Kevin King Templeton are all onboard as producers. No word yet on what kind of budget 'Headshot' might have, but clearly both production companies are expecting big returns from Stallone's involvement.
IM Global's Stuart Ford had this to say when announcing the film yesterday. "Headshot is exactly the type of fast-paced, universally themed project that suits our business model. Sylvester Stallone is an international icon and we're really excited to be in business with him."
Now that we know Stallone's involved, who would you cast as the NYPD Detective who works alongside him? That piece of casting could be a key component in determining whether 'Headshot' succeeds or is consigned to the realm of relatively forgotten Stallone epics like 'Tango & Cash.'
