What Is 'Black Swan' About? 'Black Swan' is a dark psychological thriller that tells the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a professional ballerina. She lands the coveted lead role in an ambitious new production of 'Swan Lake,' in which she must play both the naive, innocent White Swan and the evil, seductive Black Swan. When Nina gets pressure from her director (Vincent Cassel) and mother (Barbara Hershey), the role begins to take a toll, especially after she befriends fellow-ballerina Lily (Mila Kunis), who may or may not be after her job.

What Are People Talking About? There's an intense sex scene between Lily and Nina about midway through the movie, though -- sorry boys -- it's more creepy than steamy within the context of the story.

Is Natalie Portman's Performance Really That Good? Yep. As the good-girl-gone-crazy Nina, she's never been better. And thanks to glowing reviews from critics, she's quickly become the frontrunner to win the Best Actress Oscar. (Sorry, Annette Bening!)

Is 'Black Swan' Violent? Yes. **SPOILER ALERT** There are multiple scenes of physical violence, including two fight scenes involving Lily and Nina's mother. There are also a few gory moments that will cause even the strongest of stomachs to flip, like when Nina rips a layer of skin off of her finger and when she, you know, sprouts wings.

Does Natalie Portman Actually Turn Into a Swan? **SPOILER ALERT** Well ... sort of. While you actually see her full transformation into the Black Swan near the very end, it's meant to be interpreted as metaphorical rather than literal. We think.

How Can I See It? If you're in major cities like New York or Los Angeles, you can see it now. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a bit longer. Find out when and where you can see 'Black Swan' here.
