Ten hour-long programmes have already been commissioned with more to come should the programme be a success. The Hurt Locker, released in 2009, cleaned up at this year's Oscars, winning a total of six out of nine nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director (making Bigelow the first woman to ever win one).
The movie holds a stunning 97% critical rating at RottenTomatoes and has been highly praised for its authenticity and intelligence.
