Fire up the rumor mill on this one: The Hollywood Reporter by way of the New York Post says that "Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake both have their eye on the same role when the inevitable movie adaptation of the hit Tony-winning Broadway musical 'Memphis' makes it to the big screen ... Both actors have ventured to the Big Apple to check out the show."

Though there has been no announcement about turning 'Memphis' into a movie, buzz has been generated over the fact that Oliver Stone took in the musical this summer and was talking to one of the show's writers about an adaptation.

In the meantime, fans can next see Timberlake in 'The Social Network,' in theaters Oct. 1.
