Hollywood Insider reports that the 'Pushing Daisies' star is in negotiations to join the cast of 'Breaking Dawn,' the final installment of the 'Twilight' saga.

Pace is apparently up for the role of Garrett, the best friend of Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen. If Pace comes aboard, it will be the first official new casting under the reign of 'Breaking Dawn' director, Bill Condon. Lee Pace is best known for his role as Ned on ABC's 'Pushing Daisies' (pictured). His film credits include 'The Good Shepherd,' 'When in Rome' and 'Marmaduke.'

The massive 'Breaking Dawn' is being divided into two parts. Part I hits theaters on Nov. 18, 2011, with Part II following sometime in 2012.

In the meantime, Pace is also set to co-star in the new HBO series 'Miraculous Year,' opposite Susan Sarandon, Patti LuPone and a slew of A-list stars. (More on that here.)
