Ladies, allow me to introduce you to the reason comic book adaptations aren't just for fanboys. In a possible effort to overturn some of the bad buzz circulating in response to the other publicity stills of Thor (now apparently fully titled Thor: Mighty Avenger), this image of Chris Hemsworth in his mortal garb from USA Today gives us something less 1980s Flash Gordon or Masters of the Universe and more 1990s Playgirl spread. I guess after Iron Man was such a big hit with female moviegoers, Paramount wants to continue marketing to that half of the market. That's the only way to explain the beefcake construction worker in the rain tone of this, right? I know the wet tshirt and muscles aren't working on me, the longtime Thor reader. Even if Mjolnir is in the shot, too.
