Some of you may be wondering why the almost ubiquitous "and more!" wasn't tacked on to the end of the headline. Well as you probably guessed, it's yet another slow week for horror on disc and I have a whopping three titles to talk about. If you're hoping for three incredibly awesome films, I wouldn't hold your breath.

First up is Parasomnia, a straight to video entry from the director of House on Haunted Hill and feardotcom. Excited yet? Apparently it's about a girl who lives in a near-constant dream state who is being stalked by a mass murderer. The SyFy channel called, they'd like their title back now. Who knows, it could actually be good, but it's sure not doing itself any favors with that title, cover art, and plot synopsis.

Next up is a flick called The Outback, sporting what has to be one of the greatest taglines ever! Emblazoned across the cover is the line "It's Australian for FEAR!" Awesome tagline aside, the plot seems pretty basic, centering around a group of couples on a 4 wheeler expedition down under. I'm guessing bad things probably happen.

Last but not least is The Dead Are Alive, and as the cover art tells us, there's no place to hide when that is the case! This appears to be an Italian giallo from 1972, though I hadn't heard of it before today. Directed by Armando Crispino, who also directed 1975's Autopsy, The Dead Are Alive is about a archaeological excavation that reveals, unsurprisingly given the title, that there are some buried bodies that might not actually be dead quite yet. Seems interesting enough, perhaps this is the star of this week's releases.

That's it for this week. Check back next week for a look at the horror home video releases for July 20th!
