
They don't make cartoons like this anymore! Maybe because they're tinged with 50's-era casual racism and misogyny, but, hey, nobody's perfect! In the 1951 short from Tex Avery, Car of Tomorrow, women are portrayed as just about the stupidest drivers on God's green Earth. I sure am glad I live in the future, where women are smarter.
It's all in good fun, though, and this one is probably my favorite of the "of Tomorrow" series. Check out the car customized to mow down pedestrians, complete with a glass-bottom so you can get a better look at your vehicular carnage.
