Get ready for another 'English' lesson.Variety brings news that Universal is planning a sequel to its 2003 comedy 'Johnny English.' Rowan Atkinson will be reprising his role as the eponymous character, a bumbling British spy who somehow manages to save the day, despite his epic incompetence.
Universal announcing plans to do a new installment in a relatively successful comedy franchise comes as no surprise, as the studio has been struggling lately with a series of commercially unsuccessful "serious" films like 'Public Enemies,' 'State of Play' and 'Green Zone.' Universal also recently scrapped production on the thriller 'Cartel' a mere five weeks before shooting was scheduled to commence. The revenge drama was set to star Josh Brolin.
