Abbie Cornish, who won rave reviews for her performance in Jane Campion's 'Bright Star,' has booked two new roles on the big screen. First up is a part in 'Dark Fields,' about a writer (Bradley Cooper) who comes across a special drug that brings him new-found success. Robert De Niro co-stars. Meanwhile, Cornish will also star in 'W.E.' from director Madonna, about the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. [Variety]
Amanda Seyfried will reportedly team with director McG to star in 'The Girl Who Conned the Ivy League.' The film is based on the Rolling Stone article, about a woman who stole a missing person's identity to gain admittance to Columbia University. No word yet on a premiere date. [Production Weekly]
