In talks for the lead in the film, titled 'The Girl With the Red Riding Hood,' is Amanda Seyfried ('Mamma Mia!'). According to EW, she'll play a young woman who tries to track down the wolf that's been terrorizing her village while also dealing with her wealthy fiance and the town's bad boy. "It's a dense, romantic thriller," Hardwicke said. "As the mystery unfolds, she becomes less and less certain about her feelings and about who she can trust."
Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way Films is producing the film, which is scheduled for a June start.
