"I love having the ability to introduce high-profile people to readers through an unexpected medium that is both written and visual," Kim Sherman, who wrote the Pattinson book, said.
"These biography comics are designed to illustrate interesting tidbits to fans about their favourite figureheads, and inspire them to learn more. I chose to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective, immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous role."
According to Bluewater president Darren G. Davis: "It's our hope that even the most devoted fans will discover a fact or two that takes them completely by surprise."
Future issues of the Fame series will focus on 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift while the company's Female Force series will release bios of Ellen DeGeneres and 'Today's' Meredith Vieira.
What do you think about the Pattinson comic book biography? Is it a good thing that our short-attention-span culture has reduced a man's (or a woman's) life to a 32-page comic book? (Course there's never anything new under the sun: the Classics Illustrated Comic Books in the 40s and 50s reduced classic literature to 48 page comics). Will you buy into this?
