For once I'm actually excited about a CGI heavy movie and it has tons of beasties to boot. Louis Leterrier's (Transporter 2) remake of the 1981 film Clash of the Titans is looking pretty amazing so far and Bloody Disgusting just posted this second trailer for the film. We finally get a full body look at Medusa and the Kraken. You can check it here out after the jump.

In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

In the original film, the Kraken is an ancient sea monster that tries to devour a virgin sacrifice as demanded by the sea goddess Thetis. Medusa, also known as a Gorgon, has hair made up of living snakes and can turn things to stone by way of her gaze alone. You get a peek at both creatures in this trailer and so far they look pretty amazing. While I always found the stop motion animation used in the original to be great, it will be nice to see these mytho-beasts rise in a larger than life way. Confession time: when I was little I used to spend hours in front of the mirror trying to get my hair to look Medusa. Sometimes on a bad day, I still succeed.

Clash of the Titans will be in theaters March 26, 2010. Check out the trailer below and let me know if you're as psyched for this one as I am.
